Not Worth the Price – Style Over Comfort at U&Me We stayed 18 nights in a “Superior” room for $2200. The view was great, but nearly everything else disappointed. The first room was tiny with a dangerous bathtub. We were luckily moved to a corner room that had just enough space for standing suitcases—no dressers, no closets, no surfaces. The shower flooded the floor daily. Lighting was dim and confusing. Windows didn't open, and with no air conditioning, the room got hot unless we kept curtains completely closed all day. The room was dusty throughout our stay—my nightstand was never wiped, and the floor under furniture was filthy. Sheets were hard to get changed (even completely ignored when we actually removed them ourselves), and we found stains on both the pillows and the comforters. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the bed topper was thin and cheap. The mattress itself had visible liquid stains. Details like plastic toilet flushers and flimsy lamps felt more hostel than hotel. Garage access was confusing, elevator logistics frustrating, and we weren’t informed when the parking code changed. Loud music from nearby events until 3am cost us sleep—yet the hotel had the audacity to raise the nightly price exactly during that time. Bottom line: this is a wanna-be flashy hotel likely designed for short-term visitors who care more about Instagram aesthetics than livability. If you’re staying longer than a weekend, think twice.

The central locations

the phone in the makeshift reception doesn’t connect to staff…once connected from mobile phone, you could barely get answers from them!

We were on a road trip around Sweden. Check in was quick and easy with parking within the building which was very handy. Our room was very nice with a city and river view. The decor of the room was quite modern with a few different features to lots of hotels. The bed was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice so no complaints.

The location was good. I had several options for dinner.

I would prefer that the curtain on the window could be pushed tightly to the wall, because from May the "white nights" slowly start to get longer and the light from the outside disturbs the night rest.

It's unique in that no one works there. When you enter, it's almost like a mall. You'll see signs with "check-in" but these are computers. You're supposed to check in yourself and create your own key. I had an issue with my card not reading properly and had to track someone down from the hotel next door to take my payment. Cool place, but the check in is not for me.

Amazing rooms that give you just enough space, but feel homely - great design, right in the centre of town with effortless self check in. Breakfast was really varied, and tasty - good coffee, and great overnight oats! My only comments are that water goes everywhere when showering, and that the ventilation spews out a lot of dust!!

Fantastisk utsikt över staden! Smidig personalfri incheckning. Mycket fräsch frukost där det tom fanns lax, vilket är unikt hos hotellfrukostar idag! Lite rörigt vid frukosten dock. Glas här, koppar där, tallrikar och bestick på ytterligare ett annat ställe. Man fick vänta på nya glas, koppar och tallrikar då det inte fylldes på tillräckligt snabbt. Men med allt på bordet så var frukosten mycket god! Rummet fräscht, men lite konstigt med handfatet utanför toaletten.

Positiv: das Zimmer ist bequem und die Lage des Hotels sehr gut Negativ: kein Empfang, unpersöhnlich, schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, Frühstückslokal unübersichltlich und hektisch

Rent och snyggt. Väldigt skön säng och lakan. Frukosten var fantastisk, närproducerat och hög kvalitet. Hotellet ligger nära centrum och är prisvärt. Proppen i badkaret var inte tät så för att bada behövde man införskaffa gladpack för tätning. Avloppslukt i badrummet. Annars trevligt rum.

Das Hotel liegt absolut im Herzen von Umeå und ist ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es ist ein Self-Service Hotel aber bei Problemen kann man sich auch an die Rezeption des Nachbarhotels wenden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr umfangreiche und auch bei besonderen Bedürfnissen wie glutenfrei oder vegan ausreichend ausgestattet. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder hier hin zurück.
