The service is excellent. The staff is cheerful, speaks fluent English, and gives easy-to-understand instructions. The room is very clean and comfortable, everything can be adjusted with the iPad available in the room or via the citizenM app. The view from above to see the city and the cars running below is great. What I like most is the bathroom, the water is strong and there is a tropical rain shower that pours water from above, extremely comfortable. I don't want to go out after taking a shower :) Especially, it's close and convenient to go anywhere because it's only a few hundred meters from the MRT station. You can take the MRT, walk, or call Uber if you go further. If you use Uber, remember to check the bill carefully after arriving, if there's anything, report it to the Uber operator immediately. Many drivers see that you are a tourist, so sometimes they think that if you add more money, you won't notice. In general, this citizenM North Gate hotel is great. You should experience it! :)

Walking distance to and fro Ximen and Taipei Main Station. several coffee shops and convenience stores surrounding it. Clean, high-tech and accommodating. Spacious too.

Location of the hotel and the review view are good. However, the room is super small that we cannot open our luggage. The hall is very dark. We tried to contact Expedia to cancel the last 3 days but we were unable to reach any customer service. Very disappointed!

The service was top notch. All the citizens employees spoke English very well. The room was clean with a nice view of the river. Ximending was a 5 min walk. MRT is a 3-4 minute walk either way. I found most of the meals better than the street food. Taipei City under ground Mall is about a 5 minute walk connected to the MRT main station. I found the food there better than the night market. Breakfast at Citizen M had a variety of western and Asian dishes. I highly recommend this hotel, but I do have some cons about it. If you stay in the higher floors, there’s some random noise that kinda sound like a dog barking every 15-20 mins and it sounds like a person placing a cup down on a counter. The elevator system are not sinked so everyone presses all of the button so when your on the elevator it stops frequently. Other than that it’s an awesome place to stay.

The room might be on the small side but the space was cleverly designed. The smart-home concept is thoughtful, although the device was pretty sluggish and worsened the user experience. The only real complaint I’d have is the humidity— the AC does not offer a dry mode. The staff was accommodating enough to have sent a dehumidifier to my room, though. Overall a pleasant stay.
