Fabulous breakfast, walking distance to central Sumui, but far enough away to be peaceful and a whole beach to yourself without the crowds. Safe swimming, kayak or stand up paddle board. Staff, as with most Thai people were so friendly and helpful.

I stayed in an ocean front pool room and it was absolutely stunning.
Loved all the amenities, the SALA spa was wonderful, beach bar was great.. cannot say enough good words about this resort. A must!

We had the most wonderful stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed and maintained. The food was fantastic and the kitchen was very accommodating of my dietary needs. What really made our stay though was the staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so patient and kind with our son.
I took off one star for location as the beach at this end isn’t quite as lovely as down the other end. It can be a little weedy and muddy at low tide as it’s in an inlet. We didn’t really swim at it. That said, I would happily stay at the Sala again. The pools, staff and food more than make up for it. It’s lovely and quiet compared to the other end of Chaweng Beach while still being walking distance to Central Samui.

Can be a bit rowdy around the front pool so if you prefer a more laid back vibe, maybe go for the garden suites.

We were given the most remote and isolated room in the hotel. They explained that it’s related to Xpedia, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened on our trip. I specifically requested a hotel with a private beach, and instead, I received a room that technically belongs to the hotel but is ‘in a different neighborhood.

Beautiful rooms with spectacular bathroom. Balcony looked over a courtyard and faced a wall which was disappointing. Had hoped for sea or pool view. Staff really lovely. Service a tad slow but think that’s just the way of life here. Lovely beach and pool area, if only we hadn’t had so much rain! I would definitely recommend and come back as overall it was lovely.

I stayed at another 5 star rated resort on the island before coming to here. The other one outshines this one in multiple ways. This one was a bit run down (wear and tear everywhere on the public grounds). For example one beach towel had gross blood stains on it. However the staff is very friendly and nice as all Thai people are on the island. The only great thing about the resort is the spa. Everything else was meh. Beach had seaweed. Pool area constantly had leaves in the pool and floor. Basically didn’t feel comfortable or as clean as the last place I did which had excellence in all categories.
