Golden Age Hotel Taksim

We booked this hotel for our stay from 27th to 30 august and what we paid for, the property did not deliver. The first day we checked in we noticed ants crawling on all 3 beds, we checked the toilets and there were ants every where on the floor. When we complained the hotel could not relocate us in another room as all other rooms were fully booked. We struggled to communicate with the staff regarding immediate cleaning. When the cleaner came he hoovered the floor and changed the bed sheets. This was not enough as the ants were still appearing from somewhere. There were crackes inbetween the floor boards and scurting. Not to mention the HORRID smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. I would never recomment this hotel to anyone booking. Good luck to anyone who stays in room 3307. On check out we were not given any compensation for the inconvenience. Horrible service

He really made my experience much more enjoyable. Even though they gave us the room earlier than check-in time, room service and cleaning was not really great…!!! Highly recommended!”

Ok hotel, nothing too fancy. Noisy outside and swimming pool was cold but location is decent.

Hotel staff were exceptional. My Partner and I were quite sick for 2 days and the hotel staff met every request in a timely manner. Only downside to our stay was the noise. Street noise and other guests around us were extremly noisy.

Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Very safe Hotel. Value for money.

Cons - SO noisy up until 1am (mainly singing) so requested to move rooms. Was moved from level 1 to 5 which was still noisy (slightly better). You NEED to have a room on the rear side to avoid this Bathroom in our room smelt SO bad every morning, strong sewage smell which was awful and spread across the bedroom and took a few hours to subside Room decor is so outdated and needs modernising Fridge was dirty inside Pool opens at 11am which wasn’t ideal for my family Pros - staff seemed friendly although the housekeeping staff speak zero English It’s a short walk to Taksim square I would avoid this hotel if possible

One of the best hotels in Taksim area

There was no English speaking Cable channel only Turkish speaking channels. I reported the problem to management but the problem was not resolved. Good food buffet. Rooms need to be refurbished because the wall paper was peeling at the seams, scuffed marks on the walls . Wood Floors need to be refinished. Friendly staff.

We have just left the hotel. It was overall very good except the breakfast!! It is total chaos as no one is helping you to find a table or check your room number. When I once asked for help the person responsible told me that he cannot help and would need to check with the receptionists?! We had our plates and we were standing up in the middle of the restaurant. Eventually we were seated by Nida. The day receptionists ( the lobby team) have been amazing and helpful, and the lady (Nida) who was the customer relations person is extremely helpful and pleasant. The location is great and buzzing.

The room was very nice. Very good breakfast with plenty of choices. Very fast check in.

The hotel is located In Taksim area which make it easy to access to everywhere . But the area it’s extremely noisy as too many pubs and restaurants around so you can hear music till 2am . Stuff hardly speaks English and the person who worked at reception at night shift was so rude . I don’t know his name but he was Mid aged around 45 years old . Once I have complained about some thing to him but rather he solve my problem he mentioned here is turkey , its not your country you can’t complain

The hotel is in a prime area for convenient dining and other activities. Nida, in particular, was great at providing the utmost service and ensuring we were content and comfortable. From breakfast to overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Very small room

There is no vip benefits and staff lacks hospitality and is unable to communicate in english. Rooms are in horrible conditions where the toilets and shower leaks water. Absolutely not worth paying to stay at this hotel as management doesnt bother to help even when you tell them issues. Also dont askfor anything from housekeeping as they will never come even if you call multiple time's.

Nothing was good accept the location being Taksim Square. The hotel rooms ac doesnt work, shower & toilet leaks water, rooms arent fully cleaned, housekeeping never brings anything even after being repeatedly reminded, also this hotel states it includes free baggage storage but they dont do it unless you pay them extra, front desk & all other staff barely speaks any english. When you tell them issues with the room they scream at one another in their language and consistently seem annoyed that they have customers to deal/speak to. There is no one to help with anything you need nor do they care to or even bother to understand you. Its overall been a very horrible experience at this hotel, hirrible hospitality, they should be rated a 1 star or lower & its definitely not worth what i paid for it. There is absolutely no expedia vip privileges here available, so dont book thinking there are any privileges as its all a scam & waste of your money staying at this hotel.

The location is excellent, situated near the square and very close to public transportation. The variety and taste of the breakfast at the facility were delightful. We would like to express our gratitude for the friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, and we enjoyed the pleasant pool area.

A great place to stay. Had a blasting experience considering the location of the hotel. Its as best as a 4 star hotel could be with all the staff and everything. They gave us fruit plate as a welcome gift , has a tea time for free at evening etc. So many options as well. Friendly staff and fast check in is also great.
