Fantastic customer service from all the staff. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, friendly and helpful. FYI: you can check bags if you arrive early/staying late after check out, but it costs $3 per bag and it's CASH ONLY, so have some cash with you to check bags. Probably the "largest" King room I've ever stayed in in NYC for the money ($247 average a night). My only real complaint was our window unit AC. It worked, but would freeze you during the night since it blows cold air directly at the bed. You couldn't pull the privacy screen down on the window because then it covered up the AC and you got no cold air at all. A little frustrating because I like a dark room to sleep, but we couldn't pull the shade down to make it dark or the room got too warm. GREAT elevator service and the hotel was packed ( it was NY fashion week and the hotel is adjacent to Sony Hall where a lot of events are staged so ALL the NYFW staff at Sony Hall were staying at this hotel). Never waited more than 30-45 seconds on an elevator. No kidding! 46th st in front of the hotel is a nightmare for transportation since there are several Broadway theaters in that block between 8th and 9th, so be aware. I travel to NYC for theater and great food (1 block down 46th street is Restaurant Row, you could literally go NO WHERE else to eat and get almost any type of food you wanted.) and I would definitely stay here again, just in a room without a window AC unit! 😜

This hotel was so accommodating, and it was perfect for us to be near lots of the Broadway shows! The decor was definitely giving Gatsby, which was fun! The service was great as well, a take-out restaurant forgot to give us silverware and the front desk helped us out. The price was also great compared to what was around us!

This was our second time staying here and it was overall good, but not as good as the first time. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The lobby smells great and is a cool place to hang out. All of the staff were helpful and kind. The AC in our room wasn't working very well and wouldn't get below the mid-70s even though it was in the 50s at night. They tried to fix it after the first night, and it did get down to 70 during the day, but went back up to the mid-70s during the second (and last) night of our stay, so that was disappointing.

Very busy due to NY Fashion Week. The staff manages to be amazingly personable and accommodating. It's a big, busy hotel -- with really small rooms -- and it can have "technical" issues. But they treat you like a valued guest and the location is fantastic and they keep it clean.

I wanted to like this hotel. The staff was great! Perfect location for theater-going. The price was decent. But the room was tiny, and it was either freezing or stiflingly hot - no in between with the ac unit directly next to the bed. The lobby was hot, loud, and crowded. The halls smelled like weed constantly. The building is a little rundown and could use fresh paint and new carpets.

The Paramount Hotel has its ups and downs. The best part is definitely the location: right in the middle of the Theater District and literally across from Hamilton if that’s your thing. You can walk to pretty much any Broadway show in minutes, which makes it super convenient. The lobby is pretty cool with its colorful lighting and modern vibe, but once you head upstairs the story changes. The rooms are small, fairly dated, and despite the property having gone through multiple renovations, it still feels worn around the edges. During my stay, I even had an issue where the shower water came out yellow and then deep orange for a few minutes before running clear, which was not a great look. Service was okay overall. Nothing bad, but nothing standout either. I left generally satisfied with how staff handled things, but the condition of the hotel itself made my stay feel a little iffy. On the bright side, I managed to get a decent rate by NYC standards, so I can let some of this slide, but I’d say the property is average at best. Definitely not up to 4 star standards.

I'm a New Yorker, born and raised. I choose to stay here for fashion week. Unfortunately my experience at Paramount was not a pleasant one. Upon arrival to my room, there was no light withih the bathroom. As soon as I realized I let them know. They said someone be up to address the issue as soon as possible. Fast forward the next morning no one got back to me after 3 complaints about the same issue. Firsts thing in the morning the following day I complained again and that's when they informed me that they wouldn't be able to fix the issue so they have to change my room. Once that said that I asked for some type of compensation for the inconvenience and they refunded me the resort fee. It was like pulling teeth trying to get some assistance from these people. Let's not talk about the bar experience because that's a total rip off and a whole other review within itself. Needless to say... I would never stay at the Paramount again.
