We stayed at the Andrew because I was having surgery at LIJ the next day. It was a very short ride so it was perfect. We enjoyed the hotel, but the only bad thing was the smell in the hallways. It wasn't pleasant.

The good: location. The not so great: parking is $20 per day. There is no fitness room, and no solution with a nearby gym. The bathroom has no vent or fan. The TV in our room didn't work, and none of us (including smart teenage techies) could get it working. The fire alarm (LOUD) went off at 0900 on Sunday morning for about 20 seconds, then went off with no explanation. The person at the front desk was the only employee we saw for much of our visit. That person was friendly, but we couldn't get extra towels, or valet key, or other asks in a timely manner, if they were busy - or not there (on a break?). We still haven't received our final bill, and we checked out 5 hours ago. None of this is awful, but I paid almost $1000 for two nights, and one would hope for a better experience.

During our stay, we had asked for towels on three different occasions. We never got them from the staff. A storage room was open, and we got them there. Also during our stay, a front desk employee gave a room key to an another guest. A half hearted apology was received. The apology from the employee seemed to mean “please don’t escalate this situation and get me trouble.” The staff tried to push us out before our scheduled checkout due to other guests arriving. The condition of the room was also subpar. The shower drain was clogged and after a 5 minute shower, you were standing in ankle deep water. The location is awesome though. That is the only upside to this hotel. Definitely not worth the price we paid for the room.

I usually dont write negative comments, but this time is an exception. Firstly, there was multiple long hairs the bee spread and pillow. Dust all over the desk and coffee machine. Then I walk on the bathroom and there is hair in the bathtub Been trying to despute, and a manager was ,"not available". This is UNACCEPTABLE. The only good things about the hotel is the Persian restaurant next door Otherwise, I will not visit this hotel again.

Hotel looks very promising on the outside, but the extremely bright 'discount store' overhead lights was a turn off, not very welcoming. The room size was great, simple and ok, however was a little tattered + bathroom small + dated. It was fine to crash for a night, but most likely will not return

The staff were very friendly and polite. I’d give a 5 star review if it was just on staff. Unfortunately the hotel was very dirty. When I checked in at 6pm, housekeeping was still mopping the floors in the building with what smelled like a dirty mop!!! The elevator was FILTY!! The carpet looked as though it hadn’t ever been vacuumed. You could literally see the dust from the carpet in the air. I tried to take the stairs, but that was worse. The room I stayed in needed spackling and paint in the worst way. The bathroom was small so if you’re larger person or a tall man… don’t stay here as the door barley cleared the toilet when opening. The area around the hotel was nice, very accessible to many things you may need. Lastly, when I booked the room, it indicated a fridge and microwave in the room…. Not true. My stay was very disappointing, to say the least. I will not be rebooking at The Andrew.

Besides not having available the room I booked for - everything else was fine. But… The plastic over the mattress was uncomfortable and the sheets weren’t the best fitting so coming in contact with the plastic was unpleasant. The woman in charge of breakfast was extremely helpful.

Extremely loud! Can hear every sound in the hallway. The room was dirty, obvious multiple hairs from previous guests all over the bathroom.
