The beds are a bit uncomfortable, but i guess that's more of a personal preference. The rooms stay quite, you can't really hear the commotion beyond your own door. Room was clean and had a small fridge and a microwave. Check in process is always a bit crazy but i really enjoyed the self checkin process and highly recommend bypassing the wait.

We waited 40 minutes in a line to check in. The self service check in machines did not work. Our room was not ready so were given a room different from what we had reserved. And we were given the wrong room number so the key card did not work. Then we had to wait for security to check on the problem so when we finally were given the correct room number it had finally taken 1 1.2 hours to finally get checked into our room.

The staff was professional and courteous. The room was adequate and fine. Other comments: I know things in a hotel can be expensive but when you order an 8 oz steak for $63 dollars and have pay extra for sides/vegetables’ this is unsatisfactory. Handicap issues. Due to the fact that the lobby/check in is 2 flights above valet parking there was no wheel chair availability. My wife is handicapped and has limited ability to walk and according to the valet staff, who also very professional and courteous said it would take up to 30 minutes to get a wheel chair from security. Aids for handicap use should be readily available. Next time I am in Reno I will not stay at the SL.

"Not worth the money — felt 15× worse than a 1-star hotel." I booked a room at the 4-star Silver Legacy Resort in Reno expecting a smooth check-in and a decent stay for the price I paid. Instead, I was told at the front desk there was a “system issue” and it would be just a few minutes. That “few minutes” turned into over an hour of waiting in the lobby, only to be told it still wouldn’t be fixed for at least another hour. With no other choice, they moved me to their sister hotel, Eldorado, just down the street. The front desk staff there were very nice and tried to help, but the hotel itself is old, outdated, and in terrible condition. When the receptionist asked if I wanted a smoking room, I clearly said non-smoking. I went up to my room and was hit with a horrible cigarette smell so strong it was impossible to ignore. The staff switched me to another room, which was slightly better, but the entire experience — the long wait, the unexpected hotel change, the poor condition of the building, and the smoke-filled first room — made it feel like I had paid luxury prices for something 15 times worse than a 1-star hotel. I would never recommend this to anyone looking for comfort, value, or reliability.
