Front desk clerk was very rude.

It was a pleasant stay, quiet and relaxing

The staff person who checked us in was completely unfriendly and acted as if we were bothering him. Completely rude. I asked for an extra pillow in the same employee told me they already provided adequate number of pillows. I asked why he gets to dictate how many pillows make me feel comfortable he said good night and hung up on me. After check out I spoke with the manager who is equally unfriendly and made excuses for the employee. No accountability. Very poor customer experience.

Not a family friendly location - seemed like drug users or dealers around the property. Check-in clerk also charged me $50 more than my Travelocity reservation. I was tired and didn't notice it right away. I pointed it out the next morning and the staff made some excuse about using the safe in the room (I hadn't even checked in yet when the extra was charged) or taxes or something - obviously trying to scam travelers with extra charges.

I sought rest, and found irony. The room—functional, unadorned—offered the charm of a broom closet. Yet it was the fifty-dollar deposit that truly illuminated the human condition: suspicion paid in advance. Clean sheets, silent neighbors, and a receipt for dignity lost. Optimism, indeed, is the madness of believing this was a bargain
