Very clean room. Excellent breakfast. Easy check in and check out.

Really like the location. Stay here whenever were in town. King room w/ river view, nice and spacious. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Remodel but good

Easy access right off the interstate with plenty of parking and a great view of the river. Our room was not the cleanest and was a non smoking room that smelled of cigarettes on arrival. It was fine for one night last minute but a bit pricey given the condition of the room. Breakfast in the morning was adequate.

Had to wait to get our keys for the room & were made to stay in the lobby for a half hour til they made sure our keys worked. When we did get to the room it was hard to find the lights to turn them on. Entering the restroom the toilt seat was ready to fall off. Why didn't the maids see this while cleaning or didn't they ckean the toilet? Went to let the front desk know & found that therir maintenance people had left for the day so they gave me tools to fix it myself. So you tell me no one else working there course go fix it? So make the people paying for the room do it! Not a good thing.

Rooms were very clean. We did have to ask for more toilet paper as there was no spare roll in the room.

They were remodeling but very clean and quiet

I loved that there was GOOD ham on the breakfast buffet! I will definitely stay here again, not just because of the ham, but because it was a nice place to stay. There must be a good manager, the staff all seemed to work hard while still being personable.

I stayed for 2 nights to attend concerts at the state fair. The parknand ride is 3 blocks from the hotell for state fair - expectedly nice. The riverbwalk acrost the street is awesome for running - i did 7 miles up and down each side - so beautiful. my motorcycle found safe parking in front of a main window. My room was good nothing bad to say at all and i will be back. Inlove Des Moines, it is funnand friendly

Room was dingy, carpet was dirty, bathroom was dirty. Overall felt like an unclean room

Convenient to get to right off the highway

This is a basic hotel if you need a place to sleep and don’t care about amenities. It was unclean and smelled sour and the hallway either looked like it was being renovated or had been renovated poorly. Our room felt hot and it didn’t seem as though the air conditioning was working even though it was on, and professionalism, personableness and attentiveness of some of the staff was questionable. Walk to the downtown area was about 15 minutes and although the grassy area and skate park looked nice and well designed ed it was interrupted by the loud whirring sounds of the powerplant near the water. The downtown area was desolate and we were advised by our server in the restaurant we ate at to walk across the bridge to the East Village if we wanted something that felt cozier and more engaging.

Only one elevator the other was out of order
