At first I did not want to stay. Didn't seem the safest area. Youth in carpark talking drugs and drinking when I arrived. Hotel was willing to give refund and reassurance was given this was unusual. Well handed by the hotel.

Air conditioner was noisy. Fridge took 24hours to cool down and i had medicine that needed to be refrigerated. The bed was uncomfortable. Everything else was good.

Close to car hire venues

This property was not safe. I would like to speak to someone from Orbitz as I booked this as you recommended this hotel.

Not safe outside

I booked this hotel based on the reviews, but I was very disappointed. Even the guests checking out before us said it was the worst hotel they have stayed at so far on their vacation. The area around the hotel was sketchy. We had breakfast at the restaurant one morning and learned not to eat at the hotel for the rest of our stay, but there are very limited dining options in the area. The bed was very uncomfortable, the toilet was constantly running and there was a weird smell in our room. I would stay much closer to the Port if I were to visit Cairns again

Good for what we needed just a little noisy due to main road but overall fine.

Dining was okay. The breakfast area needs work. The bread was just in original loaves. People just put hands in to get. The young staff were great.

Early checkin at 11.30 am was unexpected but much appreciated as I had a tour in the afternoon. The room was spotless with excellent quality sheets.

The breakfast was not good value

The staff were friendly and courteous, making the check-in process easy. The external area was lovely, and the 24/7 check-in and after-hours access were great. All the amenities you’d expect in a room were available, and the onsite free car parking was appreciated. The room was mostly clean, but we did notice roaches just as we were about to go to sleep. Not much we could do at 10:30 pm, so I reported them to the front desk upon check-out. The gentleman said he would get onto housekeeping. The sheets were clean but stained, and the room seemed to need a deep clean. The bed was awful to sleep on, and the breakfast options were very limited for the price, the coffee machine only gave full cream option and then spat the milk everywhere but in the cup. Overall, the building felt tired, and items like stained coffee cups and stained sheets could be replaced. Considering these factors, I would say it’s a bit pricey for the state of the building and amenities. However, since we were there on business, it suited us just fine. We would likely stay again if a quick overnight stay was required.

Hotel was clean close to town and airport. Good sized room. Only complaint was the meal we had at the hotel restaurant, go somewhere else to eat.
