Upon arriving we were told “we cannot find your booking”. After a long pause and feeling quite awkward, I showed the completed booking and receipt and we were told to go and sit down whilst reception asked reservations to locate it. We were offered a drink which we accepted however the attitude was not the most friendly and welcome you’d expect at what’s meant to be a high end hotel. After 40 minutes my husband asked the receptionist whether we needed to find an alternative accommodation but he then said it has been located. I asked what the problem was to which I was told “I don’t know”! We went to our room. Given that there was 3 of us, the room should have had what was advertised as a double sofa bed. It was in fact a small foam corner sofa with a sheet on the cushions. The air conditioning was terrible and the door handles on the balcony were broken. My husband swapped beds with our daughter mid way through the holiday so she could be more comfortable. He went down to reception and asked for something to be done about this bed. Nothing was. When we checked out and asked about our stay, we were told we should have told them again about the bed and they could have done something, bit too late and they shouldn’t need to be told twice. What we did find was that they favour German nationals over British. The Guest Relations lady was overall quite rude. Needless to say we will not be returning!
