I arrived at the room and the floor was wet with a strong bleach smell.Managed to get the room changed and the new room door would not open.Had to go up and down the elevator around 3 times to sort the issue.Finally started to work. Entered and one of the lights did not work, the shaving mirror was hanging off the wall.The door to the balcony also had loose screws and I could hear the traffic outside as well as ppl in the hallway.Slippers were not provided and the TV had NO features to watch any apps. So far it seemed more like a 3* hotel. The breakfast was ok and the view was good.HOWEVER THE WORST WAS YET TO COME.I returned to the hotel to collect my bag and check out. I had a ferry booked and had plenty of time to spare. However, the room lock completely failed. I proceeded to go up and down the elevator around 5 times to fix the issue as they did not believe there was a problem. After the issue was identified, they brought numerous technicians and it took over an hour to get back into the room. By this time there ferry had left and I missed all my connections. They did absolutely nothing to compensate for the delays or travel and left me completely out of pocket. I had to stay another night in Tangier, they said they would look into giving me a free room. Once again the customer service failed. They said all the rooms were taken.Which was a lie as I checked booking sites. Many better hotels in Tangier, even 3*.They even said manager was on holiday on wkends

Clean room, I stayed in sea view room but it was very noisy

This is a busy hotel with many tourists, some of whom can be quite demanding of the staff. I found a few reception staff to be a little impatient, though it’s understandable given the pace and volume of guests. The location is excellent—close to everything and especially nice being near the ocean. Breakfast was adequate and provided a reasonable start to the day. The biggest downside was the noise when the nightclubs finished around 4 am, which was very disruptive for at least an hour.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Unlike neighboring hotels like Kenzo (hated my experience there) Barcelo staff is professional and courteous. They make you feel welcomed unlike the Kenzo hotel. They have dining options. Rooms have balconies for views of the beach. The pool is nice and quiet. It's expensive overall but it's worth it.

Very nice hotel, convenient location near ancient Medina and in front of the beach. Staff was very kind and attentive. Enjoyable.

Stayed three nights. Hotel is in great location next to beach with great view from balcony. Noisy late at night with street traffic, honking, nightlife, but was aware of that before booking. Room needed to be vacuumed as hair/dust lingering on floor, shelf in closet broken, so when something placed on it, it fell apart. Originally booked queen bed, ended up with two singles, but realize it is common in rooms. Some towels needed replacing, although washed, stains remained and ends were tattered. Soap tray in shower had soap caked on it from previous bars of soap left there. Toilet room door was jammed open as it scraped floor too much. Upon arrival there were two small bottles of water provided in room, at end of second day request was made for another bottle of water at front desk and was told I had to return to my room, call and order water through room service- no help at front desk for that. Restaurants and main pool area were great. Service was good in those areas. Roof top bar was good with DJ and amazing views. Roof top pool needed cleaning as tissues and other floaters in water. Brunch each morning was very good with lots of variety and friendly staff. Advertised as 5 star hotel, but definitely was not on this trip.

The hotel offers excellent service. The entire staff is as friendly as could be and if you need something you only need to ask. The location is directly across the street from a beautiful beach but keep in mind that it is noisy at all hours. If you are a light sleeper it may be difficult for you. I use earplugs and that helped greatly although there were times where you could still hear honking horns very early in the morning. Again, it is an incredibly busy location and right in the middle of where you want to be in the city. Some items in our room that were listed were not there but we simply asked and the hotel staff very quickly provided what we had asked for such as a coffee machine and bathrobe. They also made good recommendations on restaurants nearby and currency exchange. The breakfast buffet is expensive and the food was very good. Overall the hotel is excellent.

Was ok

This was a family trip, where we stayed at 4 different hotels in Spain and Morroco. Barcelo Tanger was by far the priciest. There was a smell of sewer on the floor, they said they had "upgraded our room" but now I'm convinced they were lying so that we wouldn't complain about how horribly noisy and stinky that floor and those rooms were. It was really difficult to communicate with staff. My first language is Spanish and I can say a few little things in French, yet it was so hard to get some type of service. I got inconsistent guidance on who to reach out for assistance, and clearly they wanted me to use room service to charge us more. The hotel had fragrance machines lined all over the floor where we stayed to masked the smell of sewer water, and the fragrance was penetrating, and migraine inducing. I was terribly disappointed. It really marred my experience of Tangier.

Bad quality of service, no respect for privacy, staff entering rooms without permission even though there was the paper do not disturb at the door, i paid 2 nights and left after one night because of the bad service, i paid for dinner and the food was bad as well, noisy hotel not worth the price at all. The can’t provide simple room service for coffee.

Excellent staff especially Aymame. Great location, 5 min walk to the beach and close to the mall and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed the food as well in the restaurants; both the one on the 10th and 8th floor . I will definitely come by next time I’m in Morocco.

Super negative stay. Hotel charged me fees two times. Charged $50 for ice they brought. Operantly where is no free ice in this hotel. In any city in Morocco I staid they had ice. Customer Service level very poor. Conditions of the room super poor. A lot of damaged items. And wi-fi did not work but they dont compensate for it. I heart myself to ver those sticking out wires. And doors are not posible to close.

One of the nicest and best run hotels in Tangiers. I highly recommend it.

Great location and the hotel is decent but this is not a 5 Star hotel as advertised. The bathroom door in the room didn't work. We had to request to have our room cleaned. The front desk service is amateur. But the rooftop bar/restaurant is nice.

Great place to stay, we were here for 4 nights and it had everything room service, CLEAN rooms staff are bery helpful and polite, nearby are food places alot of fast food and a few restaurants. Taxis are always around also so not kuch waiting arkund for taxi. They also did a nice surprise for my birthday with cake and fruit. A massive sports tv area downstairs where you can watch any big games so no need to worry about missing a football game either lol. Right across from the beach i would defo come back here.

Terrible customer service. And accommodation. Hotel charged me fees two times. They separately charged me for ice. The WiFi did not work for two days, I could not work and 0 compensation for it. My room had a lot of damages. How come rooms are not fixed?
