If you want to stay in a different type of hotel and be near the city center ( 10 min) with good quality price this is the one. The hotel looks like a hunted theatrical place with some old air ..it could be a nice experience for some but not for everyone.

A good stay. Hotel is really close to the main train station, which is welcome after a long trip. Check in was efficient & friendly. Room wasn't the biggest but was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was actually quite large, again very clean. Shower was double sized and had great water pressure. Air con was good & powerful. There was an outside sitting area (shared) which was really nice. Breakfast was included in the rate, which I was surprised at because the rate was such good value. It was a buffet style and the seating areas for eating were really nice. The coffee was made for you, fresh - a nice touch. The area it was in was a bit sketchy, to be honest. It was totally fine if you were coming from the train station, but I then went out to find a bar and went further on in the same direction. It wasn't great, so I bought a couple of beers to go and went back to the room. Also, the hotel didn't have a bottle owner.....bear that in mind. It's essentially an "old fashioned" hotel. Cleaners, reception, decor, breakfast service. All very welcome when lots of hotels say they're "coming up with innovative solutions" when in fact they're just cost cutting. This place isn't that. I would definitely stay there again though. The value, the outside areas and the good standard of cleanliness makes it an easy decision.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the railway station. Don’t be put off by the scruffy surroundings and grafittied exterior, as the internal courtyard where breakfast is served is a quiet oasis and we had a room which opened onto it. Room was large and comfortable, buffet breakfast very good. Communication was good. We’d asked about a kettle and one was provided. Female receptionist was particularly friendly and helpful.

The pictures on Hotels.com are very deceiving for this hotel. In person this place is very run down, dirty and while the courtyard is nice to look at, the actual rooms are not worth the money. I booked a room and when I walked in there were 20+ mosquitos in there. Front desk had to confirm before offering me a different room. Then the second room had obvious bed bugs on the white sheets (photos provided to hotel staff for all of this). They wanted me to try a third room but I declined and asked for a refund. Hotel Manager said that I needed to go through Hotels.com and then Hotels.com said they needed permission from the Hotel Manager to get me a refund. Finally, Hotels.com said they tried to reach the manager a couple of times and couldn’t so no refund was given. It doesn’t matter that I didn’t stay there or that I had photos of everything. They try to dumb it down to say bed bugs were just a cleanliness issue. No way! Never recommending this place to anyone.

It has an elevator. Free breakfast bar. Rooms cleaned daily. Rooms were not as advertised on the website at time of booking. Booked a room with 2 beds, got one with one bed in it.Safety issues in the only stair well.

The hotel was very close to the bus and train station, providing excellent transport links. The breakfast was also very good, and could be eaten in a very pleasant courtyard. Very poor welcome from the receptionist, who appeared annoyed that we were interrupting a lengthy phone call. We had requested an early check-in, but he could not be bothered to check if the room was ready. He quoted a 3pm check-in time which was later than advertised, and simply told us to store our luggage behind the aquarium, an area which was public and essentially unsupervised. The bed was bizarrely uncomfortable. The mattress was hard, and both the mattress and pillows were lumpy.

Very clean, friendly staff, property is clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options to enjoy on a nice patio. Hotel could use updating but it’s a great spot, affordable and you can sleep good here!

Staff were pleasant enough but hotel is on the edge of a very rundown area which we wandered into in the streets behind the hotel . The main rd is fine so just avoid the run down bit . Having said that the location for the train station opposite is great as is the bus station .Room was basic and needed decorating but hotel has a faded charm . Breakfast was ok but they should invest in a coffee machine !

The property had an amazing breakfast in the garden. The negatives are the hallways are dark and old. The staircase carpet was worn and dirty. But without out a doubt it was the absolutely WORST BED we have ever slept on. My guess is that they all need to be replaced. The bedding itself was also very old and flimsy.
