Perfect location, staff and hotel. Not sure about crisps in a starter though!

The Sakura is a hidden gem between Naples and Pompeii. It's a relatively quiet neighborhood with free parking, ideal if you're the type to motor yourself around and also along the road to mount Vesuvius. Concierge was knowledgeable and helpful with booking Vesuvius tickets when the viva-tickets system was down. The town of Torre del Greco isn't the same as Napoli or Sorrento so it doesn't have the same marketing to tourist energy as Garibaldi Piazza.

This was a great place to stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Naples. You really need a rental car but it is a short drive to Pompeii or hurculenium. About an hour to paestum. Great restaurants nearby but not really walkable. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were helpful.

It was ok. I felt like the service a bit rude at breakfast. One night if parking was completely full and we were shown another parking area, but the next morning was cursed out for parking there. Other than that the room was sufficient

This was a first rate hotel. Everything about it was exactly what I wanted. The room was large, air conditioned and well furnished. It was comfortable and convenient. The staff were terrific and even though the restaurant had a limited menu the food was first class. I had a hire car and drove to the hotel, using my own vehicle to visit all the local sites and a couple of trips to further flung destinations so I can’t comment on the hotels convenience to public transport, but it has a good sized car park. I would recommend this hotel to any would be visitors to the area to base themselves for a holiday.

It is a bit out of the way. Taxis charge between 70 and 100€ to get you there from the airport. Public transport is much cheaper but 1.5km away from hotel - up a huge hill the whole way. Day staff not very knowledgeable or helpful. Night receptionist, Gabriele, was amazing. He came and got us from the station after the earlier receptionist left us stranded for 90 mins! Was not really made to feel too welcome by some staff. No facilities in the room at all other than a fridge with very expensive drinks. Dinner in hotel was not great - didn't offer us drinks or dessert. Would not go back here.

We wanted to stay near Mt Vesuvius but not too far from the sea, Hotel Sakura was perfect! Beautiful position with views over the bay and sunset. Staff were very helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean, good breakfast to set us up for the day. The hotels restaurant is closed in the winter months however there is a restaurant right next door which had pleasant staff and delicious food.

This hotel has probably been a classy hotel in the past but it was very quiet even for September and is in need of a major update. The location isn't great for the resort or the train station so you have at least a 20min walk. The Pizza Magma restaurant was a strange experience, I'm not sure the staff were even expecting us to come in. Also we noticed dodgy cars in the car park on a regular basis, its either a dogging site or drugs are being dealt.
