This hotel, in Beijing CBD [Central Business District], is top notch. The hotel's staff are gracious and helpful, the location is good for walking and has ample restaurants if one wishes to eat outside the hotel, and is quiet. (I used to stay near the airport but tired of the jet noise throughout the night.) The room rate is very competitive and low when compared with the benefits derived.

Great Hotel at reasonable rate; Friendly, efficient and clean. Good breakfast buffet. Only setback I feel is that if one arrives a bit late in the evening, not really any place to eat something small except the lobby lounge which is not to cozy and always deserted with no people in it. Not too many good restaurants in neighbourhood.

This hotels level of cleanliness and service does not match the star rating. There were stains on the carpet. There were also signs of lime in the shower. The staff didn't seem to see what the problem was.

It was not my first time at this hotel so no surprises. I only stay here because it is the preferred hotel for visitors to our company's factory in Beijing, there are other hotels that I prefer to use in the Chaoyang district. Typical of hotels in Beijing there are always things to be put right but they are dealt with reasonably well and without excessive delays. Most important issue for me is the location; i much prefer the hotels further up the 3rd ring-road innChaoyang district because there is far better access to shops, restaurants, bars etc in "off-duty" time. C'est la vie, it is what it is and an acceptable place to sleep on a short business visit . . .

It was disappointing, given the star rating, that the front desk were short of English speaking resources. Unbeknownst to us before our arrival, there were 7 new high rise construction projects within a block causing noise, dust and traffic congestion. I needed a receptacle adapter for my computer. When I inquired about getting one from the business centre, the concierge, in broken English, suggested I buy one.

This hotel is lacking in so many ways. The staff were not really helpful, we missed breakfast, and asked where we could get some outside the hotel, the concierge says McDonald's or Wal-Mart, and that is all? The lobby has drunken men wandering around at night. The level 6 international room is a pseudo brothel. it turns out the hotel rents its rooms by the hour, and the rooms have condoms for sale on the toilet. Even the soap and shampoo is an extra, we assume so the hourly rate patrons from level 6 can clean up before going home to their partners.

Service really bad, staff especially in the restaurants could not really care less is you were there or not. Certainly not interested in breaking their own coversations or smiling. Rooms very hot no way to lower temperature without opening the windows

Good hotel with all the necessary conveniences. In walking distance to metro and easy to get to/from airport from hotel if not afraid to take metro and walk a few steps. Lobby bar is not very cosy and should not really be called a bar. Breakfast buffet is okay and price is reasonable.

Great hotel very nice and very frienly staff- we had the executive room and get free canapes drinks and breakfast daily. Had a nice executive lounge- if booking executive room so worth it! We found out about this by reading on brochure- the hotel should advertise more on the benefits of the executive floor.Decent pool but need to wear swimming caps as not allowed to go otherwise. Hotel is a bit far from food courts but taxi is quick to get and cheap to go around. The hotel staff are very warm and always helpful. My husband lost his mobile phone while we were there and they were incredibly helpful. Also organised a bday cake for us and surprise.

English TV channels were not enough. And the Hotel did it give us an invoice for our stay. We tried to tell them that we need an invoice for our company to pay our stay. They refused our demand. The manager was rude and innegotiable

TV channels were mostly in chinese. There were only BBC and CNN for foreigners. Room was clean and spacious. The room service was ok. But management was really annoying. We tried to explain them that we need an invoice from the hotel with a stamp on it in order to give it to our company. But they refused to give us one. All we wanted was a paper with a price and stamp on it but we couldn't take it. The manager was closed to communication and unbridgeable.

Front desk people were very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Time and again they had to assit the Concierge desk with translations. Late check out (14:00) helps with relaxed morning if one's flight out of Beijing is late afternoon/early evening. Their breakfast pricing was very reasonable and had a lot of food variety. Intriguing though was the choice of Christmas carols for background and lobby music in June/July.

I stayed with a small group of students for four nights at the Radegast Hotel at the end of winter 2015. The rooms completely met our needs with good beds, a very nice bathroom, and a good Internet connection. The buffet breakfast was one of the most complete I have seen. At the rear of the lobby is a pleasant and quiet bar. This was our first visit to Beijing and we had a specific venue for our meeting a little, over a kilometer from the Radegast. We were able to walk back and forth between the two locations with no difficulty whatever. There were a number of restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance of the Radegast Hotel. There were also two shopping malls: one high end, the other middle-of-the-road. In short, the Radegast Hotel is a good option for a focused visit where you want a reliable "base" before and after the day's round.
