Nice central location. However our room faced the Main Street and the bars were open until 2:00am on a weekday making for loud voices and music. Overall, it was a good stay and Bergen is beautiful!

Large room, great walkable location. however there is no way to adjust the temperature in the room. Also, the shower drain doesnt work well and gets the whole bathroom floor wet. Also, no vent in shower. I would not stay here again.

Wonderful customer service and family friendly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for service apartments with kitchen.

We stayed at Ole Bull and found the location absolutely excellent — just a short walk to the shopping centre, Bryggen market, and many other attractions. Our room on the third floor was very comfortable, with a good-sized TV and Chromecast option. We also appreciated the laundry facility, which was very handy during our trip. The only downside was the noise outside late at night (until around 4 a.m.), with loud music and people shouting, singing, and partying — understandable as it’s right in the city centre near pubs, but worth noting for light sleepers. Overall, a great stay if you value location and convenience and don’t mind a lively nightlife atmosphere outside.

Great location in Bergen and convenient for shops and restaurants

We stayed in an apartment which was excellent on so many levels, especially its location to local sights and transport; nothing was more than 10 minutes walk. Large clean rooms, excellent shower, Rituals amenities. Fabulous kitchenette. Nice clean furniture and wardrobes. Friendly staff. The only thing that was negative was the noise from the nightlife that went on outside at weekends until 3:30am. Must have bars and clubs in the road, the music, chatter and glass bottles being thrown in a bottle bank every hour or so was very loud. We’re not prudes but when you’re trying to sleep it’s hard. It was also the same on Thursday night, although Sunday and Monday were quiet. Don’t know about Tues or Weds. Maybe it’s weekends only. Shutting the windows did dampen the noise but as it was (unusually) warm whilst we were there, we had to have them open as no air con (I assume not usually needed in Norway). The helpful staff gave us a desk fan when I asked. I am a light sleeper so unfortunately had no sleep the first few nights. I’d say take ear plugs and ask for a fan. Perhaps the bars don’t stay open like this past the summer months. It’s such a lovely convenient hotel/apartments that it’s definitely worth checking as it may be quieter other times of the year.

Great location, everything is accessible by foot. The challenge is loud music from clubs (?) well into the night, until 2 am or so - if you’re a light sleeper, it could wake you up. Still, I would stay there again any time.

Great location and very walkable plus lots of dining options. Very close to tram and busses and about a 10 min walk from train station. Hotel room/apartment was nicely decorated and comfortable. Good space for bed areas. A little tight to use the kitchen in the room so we didn’t end up cooking in the room as it was too close to the bed area. Friendly check in staff, just odd that reception was closed sometimes. Didn’t affect us though.

Amazing staff and location

Great location, walking distance to major attractions in the city. The room we stayed at had no AC, it was very challenging at night in middle of July. For that I’m taking a star away. There were plates and cookware in the room. And there were several groceries nearby!

Excellent stay.. A bit noisy at night because of the bars/pubs nearby

With no AC, we had to keep the windows open. It was very loud with people partying into the early morning.

Great little room on the 8th floor. Very cozy and comfortable. Only issue was the volume from the dance club on the street and rooftop bar. If you have trouble sleeping with a lot of background noise, this particular room could be a challenge.

No fans or Ac and it was hot

Do not stay here when the temperature is hot! It was 80F/50C and the hotel has no AC and no system of ventilation other than cracking the window open the 2” allowed. Worst miserable night in a hotel that I’ve had in ages! You just sweat and keep on sweating. The hotel had a few fans and thanks to Elida —-major Kudos to her—She got me a fan for the second night. Hotel management should be anticipating these events. Apparently heat records had been breaking for over a week. Global warming isn’t going away but the tourist will if you bake us at night!

No air conditioner Lots nise

The location to tourist activities is very good and the (young and inexperienced) staff made reasonable efforts to be accommodating when possible. However, the rooms were tremendously hot when temperatures outside were only 25° Celsius (77° Fahrenheit). We do realize that this is unusual for Bergen and made for nice days. However, the hotel has almost no fans to provide, told me I could go to a store and buy one myself, and certain windows were not possible to open preventing from any airflow whatsoever at night. This combined with the fact that the bars and restaurants across the courtyard/street play music and party until nearly 4:00am every night (we stayed 3 nights) made sleep literally almost impossible. My entire family would take cold showers in effort of staying remotely cool. Again, I understand that air conditioning is atypical in this part of the world for obvious reasons, but for a business that is entirely in the business of hospitality, they fell far short of taking care of customers. We travelled with another Danish family who lives entirely without air conditioning in Copenhagen, yet even they said how miserable the stay was. Definitely would not recommend staying here (at least in the summer months).

My family didn’t enjoy staying in this hotel due to not having air conditioner and we couldn’t keep windows open at night due to unbearable noises around property that kept us awake all night. I am giving 2 stars because of location of this hotel.

Everyone and everything was fantastic with our stay here.
