The room is dated and not clean. No room service during our 4 nights stayed. The outlets are not working properly. The room was hot and has no air conditioner. We opened the window but too many bugs flew in. The beds are not comfortable. However the room is big and the location is good. The receptionist was friendly.

The room was small but comfortable and clean. I just needed a place to stay as a base to explore and this was perfect. The second you stepped out the door the vibrant and exciting nature of the Latin quarter hit you. Within feet there were dozens of eating and drinking outlets of all kinds and others offering all sorts of activities. The room was well insulated as I could hear none of this during the night. Staff were quiet but helpful when needed and at no time did I feel unsafe outside. In fact, most people were friendly and just enjoying themselves. There was no hair dryer, iron or kettle so you'll have to take your own. There is a tea and coffee machine near reception, the coffee was excellent, and free apple juice and water. In all, this hotel was perfect for what I needed and very reasonably priced.

Convenient location to all the tourist attractions. Otherwise it’s an outdated place. My room didn’t have ac and the phone kept randomly ringing???

Huge variety of restaurants right outside the front door.

The room was clean, there was a fridge which is a good thing, but we can’t have visitors after 10pm which was annoying for me. Overall nice, but the air conditioning was loud and kept me awake.

The beds were not comfortable at all. I was also in the front facing room and the red and green lights from the pho place downstairs kept coming into the room despite the curtains

The beds were firm and clean, washroom tiles were cracked and loose, mould in the tub silicone and carpet was stained. Price is good and for a quick one night budget stay it’s fine. Restaurants in the area were many and varied.

We enjoyed our stay, but the carpet in our room was dirty. Easy access to the tourist spot.

The hotel is in a nice location, and the front desk people are courteous and helpful. The rooms are tiny though.

This is clearly an older hotel - it has actual room keys! I felt a bit like I was in a movie. The rooms are basic but clean and everything we needed was supplied. One of the coolest features is the thick outside walls, which helped keep noise at bay but also made for a wonderful little window seat in our room. Parking was a pain but we arrived on a Friday night so St. Denis was hopping, which was the main difficulty. The area is fantastic for shopping, eating and drinking, and going out for a good time! Would definitely stay here again.

I did not feel respect because in the Expedia website it said it had parking included and I ended up haven’t to pay extra for parking. Very misleading and disappointing. Is there anything that can be done about this ?

Great location around the downtown. Noise was not a problem. Bed was comfortable. No elevator made stairs after long day a drag. Would definitely stay again.

You get what you pay for with this place. It was in a very convenient location and the two staff members at the front may seem cold, but once you speak to them, they are friendly. The room was cleaned, but because of the age of the hotel, everything was stained (rugs, mattress, shower curtains). It does look like they wiped all the surfaces before I came here, but the mattress and shower curtains look like they need to be replaced. This room was the cheapest room I could find - by far. There were single rooms with shared bathrooms in houses far from downtown Montreal that cost a lot more. If you want a nice clean place that is in the best parts of Montreal, you have to be willing to pay more.
