Staff was pleasant however the room condition was poor. The free breakfast was underwhelming. Poor selection and eggs and bacon were cold.

Nice place, convenient, breakfast was nice and the restaurant is pretty good. Folks running it very nice.

Staff very friendly and very helpful. Older hotel but we like that. Very easy to contact the hotel and easy to change our pick up time. Huge variety of food options on buffet breakfast. I would book it again if I ever go back.

The property is a bit dated, but good for a stay over for boarding a cruise . The best feature is the cruise shuttle at a very reasonable price of 5€. If they can offer a shuttle service from the train station to the hotel that will even be better, the taxi drivers at Civitivecchia station are thugs, they will change the agreed price upon arrival ! Very bad experience to begin the journey!

Did the job for one night, but seemed to only have AC in lobby. Did not sleep well due to the heat…old hotel, definitely needs updating!

Very poor choice for evening meal. The menu was written on a piece of paper. This was our second stay and will be our last. The shuttle wasn’t available at the airport until I telephoned the hotel and we had to wait almost an hour.

If budget is the main consideration for a pre cruise stay, this hotel is acceptable. The location is a bit remote (30 minute walk to the main tourist area) and the property is extremely tired with dusty vents, peeling wallpaper, disappointing A/C and some apparent bathroom mould. If a renovation is not possible, a deep cleaning and cosmetic repair is overdue. The staff are friendly and generally helpful. The restaurant is acceptable. There is a local coffee shop and excellent pizza place nearby. Shuttle to the cruise port was good. There are limited hotel options in Civiitivecchia. If budget is an issue, this is worth a look for an overnight stay.

Great staff, clean room and great breakfast

Borgo del Mare was a convenient night's stay before boarding our cruise ship the next day. We appreciated the friendly staff and delicious food.

The staff was very helpful, they have a shuttle to take you to town and the cruise port for a fee. There’s a really good free breakfast.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel restaurant was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful! Would definitely visit again!

The hotel picked us up from the airport - on time and we had a comfortable ride to the hotel. The room was made available to us early, and it was clean and quiet. They also hooked us up with a transfer to the cruise port in advance of our upcoming cruise. And, we had an excellent meal at the hotel - and two free breakfasts. I woiuld use the hotel again. The staff was very friendly and the food excellent. We had a very nice real Italian dinner with wine. An older hotel but gave you that authentic Italian feel.

The people there were excellent, very friendly. The food was great. Transportation is wonderful.

First I will start with the positives...the staff is amazing. Everyone from the drivers for the transportion from the airport and to the port, the people who work the front desk and the restaurant staff. The food at the restaurant is amazing for a great price. Now for the cons...The location is outside of the city center so it's quite a hike into the city center to do anything. Supposedly there is a public bus but we waited 45 mins at the stop and no buses came. We also tried to get a bus back and the same thing happened. So we walked into town both days, first day took a cab back and second day we walked. The rooms are small, beds are hard and the fridge doesn't keep anything cold. The showers could be cleaner. But for the price and just 2 nights, it was fine.

Service was excellent! They picked us up from FCO (for a fee) at 1am, then gave us a late check out so we could sleep in. A short drive to the port (again, for a fee) to the port for our cruise and we were good to go.

Transport from airport and from hotel to cruise ship great. Food was good. Except as for sea bass dinner they need to SPECIFY it’s a a whole fish head and everything. When I asked to debone it, they were kind enough to do it however massive amounts of bones were in the meat. Bed comfort is just ok. They need updating . Internet access was good.
