The breakfast buffet offered the most extensive variety we’ve ever seen for a complimentary breakfast — absolutely outstanding. We stayed for three nights and would definitely return. The staff was gracious and attentive, helping with everything from check-in and directions to scheduling our airport transfer (€55). Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained.
We especially appreciated how walkable the area was. Even in our 60s, we had no hesitation walking the 10 minutes to the metro for easy access to places like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. We felt very safe and were pleasantly surprised by the courtesy of the Italian people — it was common to see younger passengers offer their seats to older ones.
It was only a 12-minute walk to meet our tour guide for the Vatican Museums. One of our favorite nearby restaurants was Cocò Bistrot (just a 5-minute walk for fresh pasta), and there were many other excellent dining options within a 10-minute walk, especially along Andrea Doria Street.
The only minor downsides were the small shower (typical for Italy) and some road noise, though closing the shutters made a big difference.
