The room was very "okay". In need of updating and some deep clean. The wallpaper was peeling and there were some bad glue jobs that were kind of creepy. Looked like some sort of bug had been glued into the base board. View was nice from our room. Worst part of the two night stay was when we went to check out the front desk person (Richard or Richardo) said we had to settle up a couple things like breakfast and the city tax. I told him we didn't have the breakfast as we never get it as we rarely eat breakfast. He said, "well ...how about the second day????" I said, "No....we did not have the breakfast!" With this he said, "Well someone said they saw you eating breakfast." I said firmly, "we did not have breakfast!" Thinking back the reality of this is I hardly think someone said, "When that Canadian couple check out I bet they will say they didn't have breakfast!!!!" Is this just a ploy to call people out that may have stolen breakfast. In retrospect I should have demanded to speak to the manager and ask for compensation for this act!! All in all not impressed at all with the hotel and would not return. Room was priced high for what it was. 18 CHF for parking that was easy

Clean room and dining room except tables weren’t cleared promptly

I think it's the best value for money in Lugano, trains nearbyby are frequent but quieter than US. Bed was hard and I would suggest bringing your own pillow. Staff were ecellent and friendly and the breakfast was limited but fairly priced. It's a difficult uphill, upstair walk from the lake so be in shape.

Good, convenient property very walkable/busable to both Lugano center and Paradiso.

Perfect location in Lugano. The hotel is definitely a bit dated and aged, but in that nice summer holiday family vibe, not bad at all. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms could definitely benefit from a few more little amenities like extra pillows, a safe, etc.

A little outside of the downtown area, but a short Uber ride away. My room had a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains and lovely balcony. Very clean, friendly staff and air-conditioning that was a big relief on a hot, humid June day.

The pool area was beautiful with great views. The restaurant was excellent ! I stress dinner there twice. Beautiful and delicious meals. The breakfast was a true continental breakfast but still had options.

We reported that our air conditioner was not working. The air conditioner in the adjoining room that we rented WAS working. The property manager tried to tell us that they don't turn on the air conditioning until June. We did not believe that statement for one minute. The hallways were cool. Our second room was cool. When we spoke to the front desk initially, they said someone would look at it. Noone ever did. Then the manager tries to give us a speech about how we are all helping the environment. Nope. We paid for air conditioning. Also, our mini fridge was not working. The one in our second room was working. We reported it and were told that that is how it is. Our bottles of water would be served at room temperature. So, it really wasn't a fridge, but a storage unit. Nope! Also, this property is advertised as having ceiling fans. We didn't see or feel a single one. Misadvertised!

Not friendly at check-in and balcony has seen better days. Great view on lake side of hotel but cost extra and parking was pricey. Great service at check-out.

It was very good, the service was outstanding, the front desk helped on tours and restaurants. We really enjoyed it.

The check-in was lacking clarity which locked U.S. out after getting robbed at the train station at midnight. They don’t answer the emergency line they offer. The walls are power thin and house keeping talks across the halls while cleaning. Make sure you take the door code everywhere, they will lock you out. The place is very safe and we were grateful for the locals. They stop responding to what’s app (their offering for communication) once you are checked in. Would not turn to this hotel, but would rewritten to this city.

Very dated decor and basic furnishings. Room was cramped and the walls were very thin. Had a room with a connecting door and could hear everything in the adjoining room. Difficult to get a good night’s sleep and do any work in the morning. Location is okay but not particularly scenic for Lugano. Staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. Lugano is expensive but at over 200 CHF a night this felt very overpriced.

Nice hotel with a pool. Bus stop within 1 block. Easy walk to lakeside promenade.

Helpful staff good location

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Simon made dinner service delightful (along with every other interaction). We very much enjoyed our stay and have no problem recommending this lovely hotel in wonderful Paradiso!
