In my opinion this was not at all what was advertised. Small, small room. Just a fan. No way to make coffee or tea. Most uncomfortable beds ever. Room not very clean.

They turn off the heat at night, so no heat in the room no matter how cold it is outside. Trieste is freezing in January, especially when the "Bora" is blowing, so I had to sleep in a coat and gloves. The rooms are old and dirty. At least there was hot water. Would never stay here again, even though it was reasonably priced.

Very pleasant and close to the facilities. Pauli at the porta cabana bar was a great host.

Nice room, although it was very noisy (pipes,locks,creaky floors) The receptionist was very helpful.

Chose this hotel to stay in because of the location. It was ideal for most of the sights. Main Square was a five minute wak and there were loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Only drawback was the 15 minute walk to the Railway Station but taxis are good value ln Italy if you have a heavy suitcase. Would use again

This hotel is typical of a big city Italian hotel of moderate price. Be prepared to climb stairs, walk down dimly lit hallways and exist in a small room with somewhat uncomfortable beds and a tiny bathroom. But the room is clean, the staff when available helpful, and it serves as a good base of operations if you use a room mainly to sleep. Noise level can be high during lae hourswith people talking outside but not car truck traffic

Great place. Receptionist was the best. Booked two nights ended up staying for four nights.

No luxuries whatsoever. Cave-like as it was built in 1800. Towels and linens changed after three nights and beds not made. Sir conditioning not working so she brought in an electric fan, but I would do it again. If you're into history, don't mind roughing it a bit, and are on a budget- go for it !!!

Had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to room. Very dark room. Not enough light. Light over mirror in bathroom didn't work. Thinnest towels ever! Tiniest shower & bathroom ever! Found a scorpion in the sink in the morning!

Nur drei Blocks von der Uferstraße/promenade und zwei Gehminuten von der Piazza l'unita d'Italia entfernt, befindet sich das Hotel in der ersten Etage eines Altstadthauses. Die Flure und Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet. Der Kartenschließmechanismus an den Zimmertütren ist allerdings etwas erklärungsbedürftig bzw. besser sich zeigen als erklären lassen.

Struttura suggestiva situata in zona centralissima a Trieste (situata a pochi passi da piazza Unità D’Italia). La stanza non ha presentato disagi a livello di Comfort. Personale cordiale, disponibile e simpatico. Luogo consigliato per chi come me si accontenta del minimo ed indispensabile come: pulizia generale, wc perfettamente funzionante, tv e wii fii. CONSIGLIATO

Je connais cet hotel, j'y ai déjà séjourné plusieurs fois C'est un ancien palais converti en hotel, tout sombre et le décor est prétentieux Une réceptionniste illumine cette obscurité de son sourire, c'est Janet, mais hélas, elle n'était pas de service pendant mon séjour; J'ai eu affaire à Maria pour la seconde fois et son accueil a été glacial comme la dernière fois; Je pourrai meme dire qu'elle a été méchante, elle n'aime pas son travail et surtout elle n'aime pas les clients non européens, ce qui est un comble vu qu'un hotel devrait etre ouvert à tous, sinon il tomberait en faillite Cependant, j'ai vu Janet dimanche soir et l'atmosphère a changé du tout au tout, c'est le rayon de soleil L' hotel est bien situé dans la belle vile de Trieste

hostel in triest which is not too expensive. Strange place. A lot of thing everywhere. Walls and furnitures are painted with "gothic" and "renaissance" style. You can find that funny or awful. Except that, this hostel is correct to sleep during a few nights

Unica cosa buona la posizione

Struttura comoda perche' situata al centro della citta%, personale gentile, buono standard di pulizia, camera molto rumorosa ( traffico e stanze sparate da pareti di cartongesso) bagno senza finestra

Albergo centralissimo, caratteristico e dal costo molto contenuto. Personale gentile. Ho avuto un problema con la serratura della camera.
