There seems to be a glitch in the reservation system at this hotel. We were charged twice for our one-night stay: first in advance online and then again at check-in (though for a slightly different amount). While we were eventually reimbursed by the hotel for the extra bill we had paid at check-in, the seemingly ill-trained front-desk clerk didn't know how to access the Expedia system (to verify our original payment), or when to call a manager for help.
The hotel and facilities were great, and we hope to return next time we visit the Maniwaki area. It's also very good value, but we'll avoid paying in advance through Expedia.
