Park view was great

Room nice but that's it couldn't get the TV to even turn on picked up phone no dial tone so went to office . No one there except a phone picked up no answer....left a message ...no one contacted me at all.....felt like a number not a guest...won't be back

I dislike properties that only supply the bed with a sheet, light cover and thick quilt. There is no possibility of adjusting sleeping temperature - you have to be too hot or too cold. Supply a blanket as well as a quilt. Yes, it had a heat pump - noisy. The room was not warm enough for a sheet and cover only, and even with the heat pump off it was not cold enough to require the quilt. It is also unfortunate that there were very limited cooking facilities.

Quite run down for a 4-star hotel. Room was clean and spacious but smelled bad (stale food/spices). TV was up high on the wall which was fine but there was a bright white light under the TV that was at eye level and stopped me from sleeping. Was a lot of noise also coming from guests entering and exiting and banging on doors late at night.

Checked in very late but we’re given excellent late check in instructions. Room was large, quiet, very clean and great bed. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Stay was excellent

Always consider Parkview on Hagley when in ChCh. It provides spacious rooms and views over busy intersections and green spaces in an otherwise quiet city. Always book the best executive rooms to get these benefits.

Lovely big room

Large room plenty of space. Spa bath and shower excellent. Good breakfast with excellent variety of foods.

Room was great, but very noisy

Please provide a dish cloth for kitchenettes, a plug for the kitchenette sink in room 113 and pillows were really uncomfortable. Staff communication was not great when we dropped our luggage off.

A lovely spacious room over-looking Hagley Park. Beautiful morning sun! The he room was comfortable with a spa bath.

*AVOID - book the Grand Riccarton Hotel instead. Round the corner, much nicer and similar price* Room smelt overwhelmingly of the Thai restaurant kitchen below the room (windows were closed). Advised staff who was reportedly a trainee but agreed and gave us two room diffuser sprays, neither worked. After a while the smell was so strong it started to make me feel nauseous and our clothes reeked of the smell. There was also a loud party next door playing music, drinking and banging around. We decided to stay elsewhere. The trainee stated that the manger would be on duty in the morning to organise a refund. We returned in the morning and spoke to another staff member who confirmed we would get a refund after Expedia release the funds. We spoke to Expedia later on who then confirm the funds had already been released to the hotel and that they were refusing to issue a refund. We’ve sent multiple emails to the hotel and manager directly which have all been completely ignored. Save yourself the hassle and book the Grand Riccarton Hotel instead, we booked there last minute after leaving here and was greeted by friendly staff and modern rooms for a very similar price.
