My girlfriend and I stayed for over a week at Palheiro Village. Let me start by saying how impressed we were with the whole experience. The space feels very safe and clean, the staff and other guests are friendly and welcoming. The building we stayed in had adequate parking and a short walk to the pool. During the visit we also played a round at the golf course. Which was a very respectable course, especially for more advanced golfers. I would definitely recommend a stay at Palheiro Village to freinds and family

We had everything we needed in our stay. The hotel accommodated us for a late check in. Property is beautiful. Funchal is a lively and friendly place. We hope to be back!

Perfect stay!

Great property. Rental car is a must. If you work remotely, consider that the wifi signal can be slow.

Beautiful location. Need to drive everywhere as it’s not close to downtown core and on a steep hillside. Had a car rental so that worked out well. Apartment with kitchen was great. Spacious.

The view offered compared to what we received was extremely disappointing.

Property was excellent, safe, clean, and the location was fantastic. Unfortunately our unit was on the lower level so the views from our unit were not good. We had booked sea view and our view was blocked by trees so no real open sea view. Staff was good and responsive. Had washer in the unit but no dryer. There was a coffee machine but no coffee. Had to drive up to the clubhouse to get coffee daily morning.

Great place to stay. The unit had everything we needed. Groceries close by and downtown Funchal 15 min drive.

A lovely hillside full of beautiful apartments/villas, with great views to the sea and Funchal. The central forum heated outdoor pool is free to use, but you will need to pay quite a bit extra for the gym (very tiny and not much equipment)/indoor pool which is based in the spa buildings at the top of the hill. See the hotel website for details. We had a car, so driving up and down the hill between the pool and villa was fine, but it would be a good walk up/down the hill if you didn't. I'd say staying here, a car makes things much much more convenient than if you don't have a car.

Views were the best in Funchal. Close to town. Staff were very responsive.

Had a great time in Palheiro village. The villa (3 bed) was very spacious and well furnished. Only slight downside was that some of the carpets had unsightly stains. We were very close to the swimming pool and games room, and made good use of these. A car is essential if staying in Palheiro village as is very hilly and a good distance from other locations. Maderia itself was wonderful, and the the relative close proximity of the villa to Funchal was good. Overall a great stay and highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation with good privacy and general facilities for cooking, washing etc, spacious, outdoor pool was great for the kids, close to Funchal (although car required to get around).
