Very non-bike friendly security guards did not want me to bring the bike into the property at all - very antagonistic, but not employed by the property. If they had succeeded I woudl effectively have been turned away 100m from the door of the property and would have had to find other accommodation

This is a wonder place to stay when you need a little time away. Very clean and quiet.

We were taken ill whilst staying at Hospedaria (nothing to do with them!) The staff were very helpful. We were able to extend our stay in order to recover. Thank you for your help and kindness.

A quirky place which is a working convent with modern guest rooms, some amazing features. Very quiet as you’d imagine (out of season) and great value for a peaceful night before a long journey ahead.

Estadia espetacular a hospedaria fica dentro do mosteiro, tudo muito tranquilo, lugar lindíssimo.

Impossible to find using a gps, and down hill from there. For 4 stars the breakfast is very disappointing. No restaurant on Sunday or Monday. Long distance and big stoned to carry your luggage over, and we were not even told there was an elevator available until we were packing our car to leave. Definitely will not return to this isolated facility without even a friendly greeting or any redeeming features.

Great value for money. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Poor Wifi, non existent in rooms. Restaurant closed 3 nights per week. No suitable alternative close by. Supurb setting. The church of the monastery is as good a tribute to a God as you will see anywhere

This is a lovely hotel set in the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães. It is incredibly tranquil and peaceful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bed was very comfortable and it was easy to have a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel. A nice touch was the bathrobes. Lovely outside and inside sitting areas, and although the restaurant wasn't open, it looked great. For those that are religious, there was a chapel too. We didn't find it the easiest place to find, but then our Sat Nav was playing up. My only complaint was that we didn't get a chance to stay longer, but fully intend to go back again. Great value for money too! Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lodging in the Hospedaria is an exceptional experience, but not for folks who prefer to be in a lively, urban setting. The Convent de Tibaes is located several miles from downtown Braga, and is not really easy to find, even with a GPS. The restaurant was closed the night we stayed, but we were able to have a good meal at a nearby traditional churascaria. The church, convent, grounds and gardens require several hours at least in order to appreciate them, but note that the convent is closed on Mondays (as are museums). The included breakfast was lovely, served in buffet (self-service) style, and the room was as delightful as the rest of the Hospedaria. The comfort, serenity, historical character, and architectural grace create memories that will long linger.

Quiet and peaceful. Away from hustle of tourist noise. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff always helpful. We needed to have some quiet time before we returned to USA and this was perfect. The grounds are beautifully kept and there is plenty of time to explore the artifacts of history. Very calm and peaceful.

Beautiful facilities and surrounding area. It was great to run along the wall and on all the little paths in the morning before breakfast.

Muito sossego para quem precisa de descansar. Funcionários muito simpáticos e disponíveis. Falta apenas um serviço de refeições para não ter de sair constantemente do espaço.
