Stayed here overnight to drop my son off at Uni for the year. I am an IHG member and have had good overall service from this Hotel group. The bare minimum of any hotel ever is basic cleanliness. Our room had a white towel hung up in the bathroom with a very noticeable brown stain on it. ( I would like to think it is chocolate but that is wishful thinking) The weird thing is it was hung up like that so the stain is on the outside in full view and I assume the maid has said yes thats fine. ( or missed it to be fair) This is unacceptable and makes you question the general Hotels cleaning standard, bedding etc. I was asked at breakfast it the room was ok and told them no and why. They did apologise and the manager came over to personally apologise ask well. Rest of the hotel is functional, location is ok ( kind of down an alley) Staff were polite and helpful but the towel overshadows all of it unfortunately.

I chose this hotel on the basis of the Northern Quarter location, availability of cots and competitive price. Upon arrival I was advised at reception that it's difficult for a cot to be accommodated in the hotel's standard rooms and I was advised to upgrade for £20 per night. I was uncomfortable with this situation but did not want to seek alternative accommodation and was informed that the upgrade would also provide a good view of Manchester. My room was on the 8th floor and the view was certainly impressive (I think this would be the case for all rooms with odd numbers on the 7th and 8th floors). However, the room was pretty basic and parts of the carpet and upholstery were heavily stained. The location is very convenient and I don't think there's much competition in the immediate area.

I have stayed here twice before I find it very convenient Everything was fine apart from the pillows which seem to be well passed comfortable they were lumpy

I didn't like that they don't have car park facility.

Fantastic proximity to northern quarter and arndale centre

Great stay for a weekend break. Hotel in heart of Northern Quarter and so close to many fab bars and restaurants. Hotel was very clean with maid service over two night stay which we didn’t expect. Breakfast was great and kept well stocked up considering how busy they were.

Basic amenities, good cleanliness and overall good stay. Only thing worth noting, during breakfast don’t leave your table unattended to get food, as you’ll come back to your drinks being thrown away and someone else at your table!

No underground parking available.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a little tired, carpets in hallways look scruffy with stains and lifts are grubby. Room ok, basic but clean and bathroom looks updated with nice shower. The lobby is unusual as it has strange blue lighting which looks cold and uninviting, we didn’t use the bar or have breakfast for that reason. Not sure we would stay again but the location suited us this time.

The manager lady at the storage room -which is located behind the reception- was super rude and grumpy. All i wanted was to take my luggage back from the storage room and she asked me wait in the long check-in queue in a very rude manner. Customer relationship management was so poor. You should teach your site staff on communication skills. Even if it was pride week, there was literally 0 posters/ads in the hotel.

Great location, secure, clean with helpful staff

Room was a little tired, lightbulb in bathroom was out, but the breakfast in the morning was good and overall the price was good value for stay in the city centre

Breakfast was average from what can you expect from a budget chain hotel. What it was a bit annoying is that the bed was a bit small for a couple and definitely not comfortable. Not what I expected from a huge chain hotel. Location was excellent and very convenient to walk around the city and on the North Quarter neighbourhood. Average stay overall, nothing extra
