The best staff

El acceso a la habitacion era muy incomodo. Para llegar a la habitacion habia que subir a un piso 7, caminar hasta el final de un pasillo muy largo y tomar otro ascensor. Las sabanas no eran del tamaño de la cama por lo que se salian y terminabas durmiendo sobre el colchon. El aire acondicionado era viejo y hacia mucho ruido cuando estaba prendido. El desayuno muy completo.

Great hotel ...nice shopping area and easy access to the beach!!!

Hotel is a bit dated, however, all services, employees and breakfast were very good. They just need explain better about the parking lot, which is located at a Mall next door to the hotel. I didn’t know there was a elevator that would reach the hotel from the mall’s parking lot. Breakfast was very good and all employees very polite. I would come back again.

We didn’t get water and night time 130 am we went out side of the hotel and brought water , we were dying , the staff were not friendly at all

The hotel used to be better. They used covid-19 as an excuse to reduce services and amenities, but the price was not reduced... Their restaurant menu used to be great and now is very boring and limited with the same menu for room service and for eating at the restaurant. The hotel used to have 2 different menus, one for eating at the restaurant and one for room service. No more pens and little notepads in the rooms. Very noisy room with no noise insolation from the room upstairs our room. The hotel used to be great and has significantly declined this year. Disappointing!

Excellent stay - such a comfortable hotel

Great simple hotel next to beach and the mall. The location was ideal for my 2 days in Santos. I found it very annoying that they were always out of fruit-infused water in the reception, and when I'd ask about getting more, nothing would happen. However, I loved the pool and was able to swim laps in the evening under the stars with great Brazilian music. They also kept my bag for me after I had checked out so I could enjoy the day before my bus ride. The breakfast was stellar as well, but the line for eggs/tapioca was pretty long and slow; it is kind of mind blowing they only have two people working the station despite the breakfast being served to crowds in a giant conference room. The breakfast staff was patient and kind though and did not seemed frustrated or overwhelmed, despite the crowds. I got a great last-minute deal for this hotel so it was no surprise I had twin beds, no view (literally curtains over a wall on one side to make it look like a window! ha!) out of a sliver of a window, and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom (making for a super low sink, etc. - though I'm happy to report this hotel has great wheelchair accessible bathrooms!). If you are looking for a room with a view you should probably go elsewhere. They had CNN though so I was a happy camper...good to get caught up on the world every once in a while! Overall I'd give this hotel an A-. If they could keep the spa water jug filled in the reception it has potential to feel like more of a first-class hotel.

Fantastic hotel, breakfast superb, comfortable bed and pillows. WiFi excellent. Good location. Plenty of good restaurants close by. Only grip, no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Which you would expect for the price.

Good experience. To make it great, hotel could improve services at the pool. Hard to find towels during the day. I am from Santos and I was able to make my family enjoys the city as much as I do.

My experience staying at the Mendez Plaza was a great overall experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean just as I'm come to expect from hotels in the United States. The employees and signage made things easy for an English-only speaking traveler. Nice pool, breakfast buffet and exercise facility. My brother stayed at the Parque Balneário during the same trip and although it was closer to the beach, the Mendez Plaza has much nicer rooms.
