Close to transport and restaurants. Staff only available within certain hour of the day. Is a bit inconvenience but acceptable for the hotel rate.

It's got a shared shower and toilet... It was not mentioned details of the hotel/guesthouse.

I did not enjoy my stay at Gastehaus Grupello. I work while I travel and internet is very important to me and the property specifically mentioned they have WiFi. When I got there I forgot to ask for WiFi password before I paid, so I asked and the woman working said the WiFi is out and they are working to get it fixed. She said it will be fixed. In a few minutes I saw some other people who were at the property and they said the WiFi has been out for two days and it was out until the day I was there. If she told me before I paid, I had free cancellation from expedia and could find another place. It was very frustrating because I was there for a work day. Be careful when you book this property.

The managers were most welcoming and the service is excellent for someone who just needs somewhere to stay the night, not to enjoy the hotel itself. There are no elevators but that should only be a problem if you rented a room on the fifth floor, otherwise it's managable. Overall, excellent stay. I'd visit again!

Nothing unique it was in a bad area . Rude stuff, no elavator or help to take our luggage five stairs up.we ended up cancellingv

Nice room, good location

I had a good stay here. My room had its own bathroom, which is always welcome. The room I had was very clean and had a large bed with a memory foam mattress. The only word of caution is that there is no A/C, but the very large (European) window opens completely, so unless it stays warm through the night that shouldn't be an issue.

Very friendly welcome on arrival (excellent as we were three hours early). Fairly basic facilities but everything was super clean, tidy and convenient. Some noise in the area on the first night. Good location for the city centre. Would stay here again!

Stayed for 11 nights, hence had a reasonable feel of the hotel. Firstly, the service lady Maria was very courteous all through the stay and gave all the necessary information needed. This hotel is an ideal choice if you want to stay close to the main station (Dusseldorf HBF ), which is very close by. WIFI is free and it worked without any issues. Be aware that the bathrooms are shared, and they have 1 bath room for each floor, but it was very clean and well maintained. During peak occupancy, there would be issues with bathroom. This is my guess, since the occupancy was not at peak during my stay. My booking included 5 euro breakfast on week days, and free breakfast during weekends. But I was told that since kitchen was being repaired there would be no breakfast. But if that was the case then he hotel should have refunded atleast some amount to me since I stayed 2 weekends i.e. 4 weekend days where in breakfast was supposed to be free of cost. There is a Chinese restaurant right across the street, which is a bit expensive, but the food is tasty. Overall, the stay was smooth with no big issues.

Not so bad

Inhaberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Meine vielen Fragen wurden alle sehr geduldig beantwortet. Großes Plus ist die fußläufige Nähe zum ZOB und HBF. Umgebung der Unterkunft bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Unternehmung. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen die Zimmer waren sehr sauber Das Gästehaus liegt sehr zentral und war mit nur paar Gehminuten von der U-Bahn entfernt Das Gemeinschafts Bad wurde morgens immer gereinigt und alle bekamen neue Handtücher Alles in einem eine schöne Unterkunft und preislich echt top Empfehle ich für jeden der einen kurz Trip nach Düsseldorf machen möchte

Es hat mich geärgert, dass bei diesen warmen Temperaturen meine kleine Kühlbox aus der Steckdose gezogen wurde. Zimmer wurde täglich ungebetenen betreten und man konnte dies nicht verhindern. Das Zimmer lag im Dachgeschoss und es hat sich sehr aufgeheizt. Auf der anderen Seite war es bei offenem Fenster nachts sehr laut. Mein Einzelbett war sehr klein und die Matratze schlecht.
