The hotel is just old. The staff is very friendly and qork hard to cator to everyone, they can hide the fact that the facility is in need of care and maintenance.

Hotel was nonsmoking but from the restaurant/bar area the cigarette smoke seemed to rpotrude into the whole building. Smelled it all night long.

Friendly, old-fashioned hotel with comfortable, very quiet room. Restaurant with traditional favorites of regional cuisine and big portions!

Old-style hotel with nice renovated rooms, not-so-soundproof thin walls. Adequate breakfast buffet.

The room itself was OK, if a little odd: lots of furniture with tea sets in the room, but the room was comfortable (but there was a problem with the shower head: it kept on sliding down the pole & there was no way to keep it high enough to have a good shower). The breakfast was quite good; however, the dinner was another matter. My daughter ordered sauteed fish which was almost inedible because it was so over salted. But that was topped by my meal: a dish with 6 "big" shrimp for 18.90 euros. It turned out to be 6 medium shrimp and a little greens. An incredible rip-off. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant.

Hotels.com gave no indication when booking that I would be (or might be) accommodated in an unstaffed annex across the road. It did not worry me, but some guests might wish to know that before making the booking. A free bottle of mineral water promised in the booking turned out to be priced at €2.40. That said, my room was clean and comfortable and the water was hot. The hotel had made the central heating available when other hotels might have left it until later in the year. Breakfast was average, served in the rather grand surroundings of the ballroom. The hotel was about ten minutes walk from the centre. Buses 1505 & 4810 leave from stops outside the hotel for the Schloss Gottorf and the railway station. Bus 4810 continues to the stop Haddeby Haithabu for the Viking museum.

Food looked amazing but train left early so didn’t eat breakfast. One Church under restoration is beautiful and 23 sections of high of scaffolding before the roof. You see it for miles away. I hope to see it one day. It was Built when this area was Denmark. The high school was 700 years old according to graduates.

Clean, charming and good breakfast. We stayed there just for one night on a road trip to Sweden, and it fit us perfectly.

Scleswig is marvellous. The hotel good, great value for money. The area has great attractions and a fantastic nature.

The hotel itself was OK, but it caters for coach parties and other large groups so the service is impersonal. I was counting on using the wi-fi however this is provided by the "german hotspot" organization. Extremely slow, and with a complicated registration procedure that did not work with my tablet. So I was unable to check some crucial emails. I complained about this and the response at the reception was rude and unhelpful. Overall, not a good experience and I would not stay here again.

We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located between two points of interest during a long road trip. Most of the staff does not speak English, but are friendly enough. Dinner and breakfast were both fine and the room was clean. However, we could not get a pleasant night's sleep and that really detracted from the experience. The hotel is located in a nice town, but on the corner of two roads controlled by street lights. It was summer so we needed to keep windows open because there is no air conditioning (standard for Germany); but every car that came to the stop light would idle outside of our room, blast their music, and talk loudly to people on the streets at all hours of the night. Also, the hotel sign is very bright and attracted a lot of insects into our room. Unfortunately, we chose this hotel for its convenient location, but that also cost us a restful night!

Slidt værelse og kedelig morgenmad. Her skal vi ikke bo igen. Kvarteret var også slidt og lidt utrygt. Larmende busselskaber boede på hotellet.

Kun gamle mennesker på hotellet. Morgenmaden havde meget lidt at byde på og var uinspirerende

Værelserne ligger i et hus meget tæt på hovedbygningen. De var fine. Ikke rigtig noget godt sted at stille sin cykel og låse den til noget desværre. Morgenmaden var fin. Hovedgaden ligger forholdsvis tæt på, så man kan spise ude i byen.

Det er et charmerede originalt hotel. God beliggenhed Fin morgenmad Parkering i gården.
