At the time of checkin, the reception tried upgrading the room for a hefty extra by initially mentioning there wasn’t a room with a good view with the booked room class. This was even though the booked room was one of those “Bosphorus View” room (not a partial view). The “one wine bottle” promised when reserved was never offered, and we were never informed what the “VIP Access” might have been. In the end we “negotiated” back to have a room with a Bosphorus view, but saw many rooms that we were able to see from the terrace rather empty. The strait view was fantastic but why did we have to go through this, and obviously missed what was to be offered. We’d give high rating for the view but not for how the hotel is managed.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone made the effort to know our names. Highly personalized service. From the reception to the concierge and everyone else, the staff was not only friendly and helpful but always smiling. Emre at the concierge desk was extremely helpful and so was Zeki Yusufoglu who arranged a lovely breakfast for us at 3:30 am for our early morning flight. Nasiba,the lovely lady in red was very knowledgeable as she gave us a tour of the palace. The breakfast was vast and fresh and delicious. Rooms very clean and grand and room service was impeccable. Would stay here again. Highly recommend it.

Expensive but worth the money. First rate hotel on the Bosphorus.

I have traveled to more than 40 countries. To me the Cirigan Palace is the most beautiful hotel in the world. My favorite for service, food and location. Every morning starting your day w bkfst overlooking the Bosphorus and feeling like a princess in an Ottoman palace.

The people at the hotel are the most caring, attentive, helpful and friendly people I have ever come across during my forty years of travel. Breakfast experience at your hotel is exceptional and I doubt can be imrovrd upon by anyone else. On 14/3/2025, the lady serving the breakfast guests was the kindest, most efficient and handled the whole floor on her own. She deserves a special mention. Next to the people, your property is beautiful, very well maintained and very peaceful. Would recommend it to all my friends.
