Greeting good room great breakfast fantastic

A lovely well run B&B located in a small village in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The host was friendly and ensured that our stay was comfortable. We found it was the perfect base for visiting Constable Country, especially its close proximity to Lavenham.

The room was spacious with lots of drawers and wardrobe space. It was very quiet for a good night's sleep. The cooked breakfast was excellent, well cooked with quality ingredients. The bathroom could do with an update but it was perfectly adequate.

A lovely host, good check-in. A nice selection of cereals available and a fresh delicious full English breakfast. The heating wasn’t working but we were supplied with a heater which was sufficient. A nice room, clean. Has a traditional feel to it. Only negative was a little dusty (I do have a dust allergy, so this isn’t a big negative, it might only be because I am sensitive to it. Overall I’d say 8/10. Less than a 10 minute drive to Lavenham, so the location was perfect!

While the 2 hosts were friendly and welcoming, parts of the facilities let it down badly. From the front gate it wasn’t appealing. It needed painting and cleaning up. Not a great entrance. We found our room to be in need of much updating and cleaning. The ceiling was awful to look at, cracks and stains. Bathroom needed updating and thoroughly cleaning. Stains in toilet and around sink plug hole. Mold outside shower ny floor and inside on tiles. Half used toilettes containers, quite off putting. Thin towels. Mold around window frame. I gave some stars for the breakfast and dining room. Excellent breakfast, table laid beautifully and clean and friendly service. Just the general shabbiness of the front street entrance, dirty bathroom and low maintenance in bedroom let it down. I took pictures if you need to see.

Lovely little find if you like the quiet of the Suffolk countryside. With the added bonus if a swimming pool! Host was very friendly and super helpful. Bed was really comfy. The room had everything you need.

Lovely stay, thoroughly enjoyed. Hostess was excellent, couldnt have done more, she thought of everything, She was attentive and every home comforts. Would return and recommend.

Sorry property pictures used on the website are totally different to actual state of property. Room had no onsuite we had to go into the corridor to use the bathroom/toilet.

Really friendly, helpful nothing was to much trouble , was a little dated but didn’t make any difference to my stay, comfortable bed and breakfast was lovely .. would definitely stay again , had a swim in the evening.

Well, equipped room, comfortable bed plenty of facilities, breakfast was beautifully cooked and served on quality crockery. The whole place was very clean and I was made to feel very welcome. An uplifting experience.
