On our two week trip to the region, this was easily our favorite lodging due to the superior customer service and the exquisitely comfortable beds and more. Armando, Reynaldo, and Javier were the staff who we interacted with and all went above and beyond for customer service, whether it was resolving problems in translation or getting additional blankets or personally escorting us to a doctor and pharmacy when one of us was sick on a holiday weekend and very little was open so we had to keep searching. We were never abandoned to find our own way, even when we were walking slowly. The location was perfect, with so many small shops and restaurants and bakeries nearby and the main plaza with even more options less than 2 blocks away. The interior courtyard was a relaxing place to sit. Unfortunately we weren't able to try the restaurant/cafe as it's only open on limited days and times due to staffing. We were on the ground floor (room 10) which is right on the street level. Noise never bothered us, even when there was a tianguis right outside our window. The only drawback was the 6 cm gap at the bottom of the curtain which let in light and distracting movement of passersby. We truly hope we can return without being sick and have more time to enjoy this beautiful area and the hotel.

The location is great, central with easy access to the plaza. Check-in and check-out were easy, the room was satisfactory. The only issues we ran into were street noise and the shower leaking a lot of water onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise it was comfortable, relaxed, and parking was easy.

The staff was just not ready, and there weren’t enough of them to do. What needed to be done..

Stayed for 1 night at Tapalpa. The place is quite nice. A room that will accommodate your needs as it has a hot shower, nice bed, quiet, and just comfortable.

Great place

Hotel was about one minute away from the city center. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

The property is fine. We had booked a triple room. We were told before we arrived that we had been upgraded. However, after paying ( for the triple) we were taken out to the parking lot and shown to a just-built addition that smelled of sawdust, was miniscule, and asphyxiating. No air circulation at all. We had to go back and get uor room changed - which they did, to the original triple. But why tell us we had an upgrade then put us in a shed in the parking lot?

Super NOISY!! I stayed in a room in min floor and was super NOISY. All the time people is walking outside and talking Voices, cars& walking sounds last l night long. Windows ar very thin an not sealed, so noise goes through.

En la cabana real no llegaba el internet, de hecho ni el cable, tardaba mucho en calentar el agua, no hay frigobar,y en mi caso ko necesitaba para guardar la leche y alimentos de mi bebe, y no habia cafetera, me parecio raro porque en todos los hoteles hay, esta bonito el lugar pero si deberian ponermaa atencion en esos detalles

Great small hotel. Perfect for one night. Price was a priority and we were amazed by the cleanliness and friendly service. Our window was by the street but noise was tolerable.

Pros: great location, walking distance to plaza, onsite parking Cons: tiny room, leaky toilet, thin walls, landscaping needed attention, young adults partying all night

Great location! Has it’s own parking and you can walk to the most important areas in downtown Tapalpa.

Muy limpio, súper ubicado, con estacionamiento q es muy adecuado para estar en el centro de Tapalpa y el café del lugar muy recomendable

I would rate the hotel as 8.5 . Bed was a little hard but then I have a gel mattress.

It was clean but the water pressure was iffy and even though they say they have a cafe it isn’t open and not even offering coffee in the mornings
