Stayed one night at Puri Saron Baruna for 3 people, including breakfast.
This was the first time in my life I've stayed anywhere and received the following response:
The package is for 3 people, but two beds are shared, and breakfast remains for 3 people.
After insisting, as it was already late in the day for early check-in, I left my child behind, and my wife and I had to leave first.
At around 9 PM, we learned that there were only two beds in the room.
We were then told that it was true there were three people, but the beds had to be shared between two.
After much insistence and anger, the extra bed was finally delivered,
and it was already getting late.
In this case, I was truly disappointed by the treatment from reception.
The hotel room facilities were clearly in need of replacement or repair. The door handle wobbled up and down, the clogged sink had to be pryed open to drain, and the overhead shower head suddenly fell off while my wife was taking a shower. Luckily, she didn't hit her head. Furthermore, there's no curtain in the shower area, so the water overflowed out of what should have been a dry area. It's recommended to install a curtain to prevent danger to the outside.
The location is quite good, as the beach is behind it.
The breakfast menu was quite tasty, and although limited, it was sufficient.
The main thing is that the reception needs to be more professional. Why would someone book a room for three people and be told to share two beds? It's a bit more logical, especially after a long night of being tired.
In the long term, it needs a lot of maintenance and rejuvenation.
It's a shame if these two things aren't addressed, as the location is quite good and the breakfast is also good. Therefore, I can only give it 2 stars.
