Very Nice hotel, conveniently located to transportation links at the top end of the Grand Canal. If you’re looking for a place away from the usual tourist haunts, this maybe the one for you.

We picked this hotel for its proximity to the train station. It was a short walk, over a large bridge, to the train station. It is on the water and right around the corner from the Grand Canal. We took a water taxi from the airport to the hotel and it dropped us right around the corner. It was a one block walk, over a very small bridge with our luggage. Lots of restaurants within a block of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. The room was very comfortable and the hotel itself is charming with lots of character. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. We arrived before check in and they stored our luggage while we explored the city.

Amenities are amazing! A/C, hair dryer, daily housekeeping, AMAZING staff! We stayed in 4 different cities and this place was our favorite! Daily breakfast, great location near public train and water transportation! Great value and a great place to stay! Staff went above and beyond to Help us!

Good location

The Gardena Hotel is a pretty little hotel situated off a side street, yet very conveniently located near water taxis, water buses, and the train station. It allows you to explore and enjoy Venice and all its beauty. Our rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and were more than helpful in getting us places. Definitely a safe area with a pretty courtyard down the way where you can get some delicious coffee and enjoy the day. A small warning that has nothing to do with the hotel, but with no doubt every hotel you stay at in Venice, leave your windows closed because there are mosquitoes ready and willing to bite you while you were trying to sleep no matter what the temperature. Room Tip: If you’re going to need a porter with your luggage to get it back to the train station, ask the front desk to arrange a porter and price. It can change from loading at the station and all hotels.

Such a convenient location and amazing hospitality

The rooms were spacious and the linen were of excellent quality thread for a comfortable sleep after a long day.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful with a situation in our train being cancelled and having to reschedule. Breakfast was amazing!

The location is everything because you still get great canal views without the really busy tourist crowds like at Rialto. Pillows and bed were a little stiff but the rooms were super clean and very inviting. The hotel is lovely with all updated needs while still keeping the charm of Venice. Reception is 24 hours! Always someone at the desk. Comes with a great breakfast.

The exterior boat drop off needs major improvements. Breakfast was OKAY but could use some hot foods.
