So far I actually like the Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali Hotel because the location is very strategic in front of the beach and close to everywhere. There was an incident one night when I returned to the hotel in the middle of the night driven by Gojek ride, then one of the hotel security shouted at me while glaring when I entered the hotel. Security: HEE.. where are you going? (while shouting and glaring) Me: want to go in sir (inside the hotel, my position was tired and very shocked to be treated like that as a hotel guest) Security: where are you going? (still shouting and glaring) Me: go into the hotel sir. I'm staying here Security: what's your hotel room number? (still shouting and glaring) Actually I was reluctant to say my room number, because I felt insulted to be treated like that as a guest. But because I was tired and wanted to rest immediately, I finally told him my room number & he smiled and believed me. Any hotel seems to be not allowed to treat guests like that. If the hotel felt they didn't trust me to stay there, they could have asked me politely instead of using such rude language. The next day, when I checked out, I wanted to complain to the receptionist, but I didn't. The staff were young and polite. I couldn't bear to vent my frustration last night. I've never been treated like this in any hotel I've stayed in. And security didn't apologize after that night's incident. Hopefully, this will be something the hotel will evaluate in the future.
