Great hotel, nice staff, good location

This is our second time staying at Grand Kanaya. The atmosphere is always pleasant. But we actually wanted a room on the top floor, but we got the first floor because the upstairs was already booked by a group. That's fine. Grand Kanaya is spacious, and there's also a basketball court in the back. As for the food, it's quite tasty, with a good variety. I love the timlo soup; it's fresh and delicious.

This is my second time staying here and I always want to come back, the view is really cool. The swimming pool is always clean and doesn't have much chlorine. When it comes to food, I prefer to eat at the cafe. Always successful at Grand Kanaya.

The hotel has the best view, cleanliness & facilities are okay, but the food is not so good, hopefully they can improve in that area, keep up the good work Grand Kanaya :)

This was my second stay at the Grand Kanaya Hotel, this time with a small group. The weather at the end of July 2025 was still rainy, but the morning was quite cool at 21°C. The view of Mount Slamet that morning was obscured by clouds. The hotel looks old (vintage?), but it's well-maintained, including the rooms. Parking is spacious, suitable for buses. There's a cafe for dinner if you don't feel like leaving the hotel, but the food is mediocre, nothing special.

The room is clean, only the toilet still has a little hair left in the waste and there is lizard droppings near the toilet ventilation. The view is great, the room has a balcony, the pool has a beautiful view. The breakfast is delicious. The hotel is located in the upper area of Purwokerto, the breeze tends to be cool. A hotel with not too many rooms, which I like because even when the hotel is full it won't be crowded. The view around the room is not blocked by tall buildings. The room size is okay. The room is quite soundproof. Cleanliness is actually still okay, it's just that from afternoon to evening there is an unpleasant smell from the bathroom toilet area (it doesn't smell in the morning and afternoon). Hot water has operating hours, but it's smooth, no issue. The hotel staff's response is good, and satset. The facilities in the room are okay. There is water dripping from the balcony AC that hits the balcony chair, so I need to move the chair position a little. Just info for guests who might be concerned about going up and down stairs, the lower parking area, reception, lobby, cafe, breakfast, pool, and 1st floor all use stair access. So please consider if that's difficult. The pool is not warm water. Then please emphasize again for rooms that are non-smoking, because I asked for a non-smoking room but got a room with an ashtray that was already in use. Then from the balcony you can smell cigarette smoke from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast menu is not too varied, but it tastes good. Overall, I am still interested in staying again, and hopefully it will be more smoking-free in the room area in the future.

The room is very comfortable, clean, not humid, cool air and a clear view of Mount Slamet during the morning view. Worth it if you are in Baturaden.
