We believe good hospitality is defined by the ability to anticipate needs and provide a seamless, honest environment. Unfortunately, our recent stay failed to meet these basic criteria.
Beyond the lack of acoustic privacy, where noise from overhead rooms and the restaurant filtered clearly into our space, the breakdown in service during breakfast was the deciding factor for this review. Upon arrival at 8:00 AM, we found the buffet largely depleted, with a fully staffed team showing no initiative to replenish it.
More concerning was the handling of dietary requirements. As plant-based guests, we asked if the rice porridge contained chicken stock. We were met with conflicting answers from different staff members, making it impossible to judge if this was mere carelessness or deliberate misinformation. When we subsequently requested two portions of plain rice porridge (just rice, water, and salt), we were told it was "impossible."
While the kitchen eventually provided us two bowls after we firmly challenged this refusal, the initial dismissal, hostility and the unreliable information regarding ingredients are unacceptable. We share this experience not to complain, but because we believe true hospitality requires safety and flexibility, neither of which were present here.
