Affordable, clean, good breakfast. TV too small for the big room

The hotel is an old hotel, but it was a very nice hotel. 1. The room is clean and has no smell of an old empty room. Since I booked a connecting room, they complied with my request. Minus: no mark for shampoo & soap for the amenities. 2. The food is awesome! I ordered nasi goreng ati at their restaurant since they are having a so-called fried rice festival. The portion was big & delicious! The best was Banyumas Platter! The mendoan is OMG, so crispy! The breakfast is also ok. Surprisingly, they also had JAMU at the stall during breakfast! Overall, staying at Hotel Surya Yudha for me: AWESOME! 3. The location is not far from the downtown. 4. The price is surprisingly reasonable for 2 nights.

We got room 533, checked in at 3 PM and the room was hot. The curtains were only one layer, so when we opened them the sunlight was very bright, but when we closed them the lighting was too dark. At the very least, we should have had two layers of curtains, and use thin ones. The sink was clogged, so when we washed our hands, water would pool. When we arrived, there were no towels available. They were delivered to our room shortly after, but they were a bit damp and smelled like damp towels.

Booked a room for two nights through two OTAs of the same type, but the room key was locked on the second day and had to be reactivated at the front desk, which was an inconvenience. The food tasted awful, even though the OTA advertisements stated a delicious breakfast, and the breakfast price was also above standard.

The view is cool, the rooms are spacious, and the neighborhood is quiet, close to the city. Overall, it's comfortable because the environment is clean.

We've always chosen this hotel several times in Purwokerto. The spacious rooms and proximity to the city center made us choose this hotel. This hotel is indeed quite old, evident in its design, furniture, and dated bed linens. In these difficult times, it's understandable that hotels are saving money. But next time it's busy again, don't forget to replace it! :)
