We arrived as the sky was already dark, Semarang still lingering in its warm air. We were tired, and our stomachs were starting to protest. But the Pantes Simpang Lima Hotel felt like the perfect respite—it was close to Loyola Catholic School, so we didn't have to wander around for long to find a place to stay for the night. As soon as we got out of the car, there was a small, simple but pleasant surprise: a street food stall right in front of the hotel. It felt like the most Indonesian welcome—hot tea, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere that made my hunger suddenly easier to appease. There was no need to rush far to find food; everything was right in front of me. Entering the hotel, I immediately noticed the unique concept: the building was elongated, container-style. It wasn't just a regular lodging, but it had a modern and distinct feel—like a compact yet distinctive guest room. And when the door opened, the "budget" impression was instantly shattered. The room was spacious, not stuffy, and most gratefully, it felt cool—a lifesaver in a city notorious for its heat. It felt like moving from the street version of Semarang to the comfortable version of Semarang. That night we ended the day in a relaxed manner: the Android TV was in the room, connected to the internet, so entertainment was easy—just choose a show, lie down, and slowly forget about the fatigue from the journey.
