The farmhouse is remote, surrounded by Ashdown forest, apart from a few meadows with grazing cattle and sheep. There are deer in the forest. Access from the south is stony. Access from the north is easier, but either way there are potholes. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was well-equipped. Beds were not made or rooms cleaned unless requested. Breakfasts were good with good scrambled eggs, excellent local honey and home-made marmalade.

If you want quiet, away from it all with access to country walks this is ideal. Pleasant hosts, comforable beds, great breakfast.

Lovely, quiet B&B on a farm. Location is remote, which made it a peaceful stay. There was plenty of parking available. The room was large and comfortable with a good bathroom and a strong wi-fi signal. The owner recommended a local pub, which was a 10-minute drive away. The food and beer were excellent! Breakfast the next morning was superb. The host was very helpful throughout.

The driveways are appalling. Never seen such dangerous potholes. Would never stay again because of that. It’s a shame because they are very welcoming and caring hosts.

We enjoyed our stay, Liz is a great host, good choices for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was lovely, the room was a generous size and the views were super. As animal lovers we enjoyed watching the sheep and cows and the gorgeous dogs and we fell in love with Gail, Breeze and not forgetting Tony.

A working farm in a lovely location in the middle of Ashdown Forest. Great freshly cooked breakfast. very comfortable bed with good quality linen. Large en -suite (Balcombe Room) including a bath and shower with nice toiletries. Very Clean. There is an outside seating area at the back of the property. Lovely gardens. There is a living room available for guests to use. Good wi-fi connection. Several walks from the B&B. within 6 mils there are two National Trust properties, and good places to eat for an evening meal. Do not have to travel far to explore the Ashdown forest, the coast etc...The hosts Liz and Bob are lovely. Highly recommend Twyford farm for a relaxing high quality B&B experience.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts with a beautiful character property in a fantastic rural location. Full of period features and although we only stayed for one night we did have a chance to stroll around the farm and surrounding area. Superb full english breakfast featuring a lot of produce sourced on the farm. A perfect place to stay to access all nearby countryside and amenities.
