This hotel, and especially the staff were excellent. Great breakfast.

The stay was fine. Beds were fine. Showers were interesting shall we say. Staff there is great! Breakfast good. Dinner was meh. It was fine for a night.

The hotel was spotless staff were all outstanding. Food was excellent. One of the best hotels ive stayed in. I highly recommend The Smithson hotel when visiting Inverness.

We had a delux room on 2nd floor. It was spacious had plenty of places to sit comfortably an in room mini fridge large bathroom. Staff was friendly and informative. Full breakfast and bar service and dinner options onsite plus free parking.

We had a great room, but on second floor, no lift. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food good and reasonable choice. Great location for Culloden and Inverness but in the middle of a residential area. Good for parking. Great for an overnight stay or as a base for visiting the local area.

Peter and his family are just excellent and go above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast was delicious.

Great hotel!

This hotel was perfect for our needs for 2 nights. My initial thought was that the outside looked a bit 'tired' but the interior made up for it. Our room was very nice, bright, clean and comfortable. The shower was great with big towels. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices for a full cooked breakfast or cereals etc. I enjoyed the nice big chunks of fresh watermelon and orange slices. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was on a bus route (we didn't use it) and was only a few miles from Colloden and Clava Cairns. We would stay here again.

This is an older hotel, but full of character. The staff were amazing.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, if a bit small. But for a short stay near the airport it worked for us!

Great place. We spent only one night there. Wonderful staff, welcoming place. Delicious food at the restaurant. My sister and I had a great time there.

It’s an older place but gives the best vibes. It almost felt like a bed and breakfast with how quaint and sweet the building and people were. The only downside is there is no elevator but the front desk attendant helped us with our bags. There is still a physical key access to this place. It’s amazingly cozy too.

It‘s a real pub-hotel, with some noises and simple but adequate rooms. But the owner and his team: they make the stay like you are in a 5 star hotel. They are supportive, communicative, have patience with customers who don‘t have fluent language skills and they are friendly at all times. It was a delight to stay at the Smithton.

A pleasant surprise for a hotel that looks like it's in an urban area. It is actually very close to the countryside and has easy access to the city centre. Externally, the building is showing its age but the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. Evening meals are also available.
