The staff were friendly and the included breakfast of toast and watermelon (and coffee & tea) was good.
I didn't get much sleep during my stay because my bed was too hot. The room itself was cold, but once in bed, I guess the air couldn't actually get through the privacy curtains. I ended up just pushing them down and sleeping with them open although that didn't seem to help much.
At the top of the bed is a cupboard where the powerpoint is, so you have to leave the cupboard open to charge your devices, which would be fine except the cupboard door opens downwards and rests on the bed (at some point in the past, it had hinges to keep it up but they broke a long time ago). So to sleep while charging my phone, I had my pillow at the end of the cupboard door (losing about 20cm of bed space), which meant my feet were at the very bottom of the bed. I'm a small person so it wasn't too bad but it wouldn't work for anyone taller.
There is one bathroom area for both the rooms on my floor (one is a female dorm and the other is mixed). The bathroom is an open area with individual stalls for showers and toilets, with the sinks at either end. I had four showers during my stay and three of them were lukewarm and one was hot, so the heat level probably just depends on when you're showering.
This hostel is in a good location and cheap, so you very much get what you pay for. For the price, it's pretty good, really.
