While the rooms are spacious and the in room sauna option is lovely, it felt a bit seedy. I’m aware this is a love hotel but I’ve stayed at other love hotels which were far more accommodating and comfortable. Tha staff however were very patient and kind. Additionally it’s in a busy area close to all the shinjuku hot spots…. Be aware that the area around the property is quite dirty and unkempt

The staff was great and kept the room clean. It is in a convenient location if you want to go to Golden Gai. BUT.... You should know this is a love hotel in the red light/nightclub district. On the plus side, that means you get free costume rental. On the negative side, the room is small and not designed for staying for more than a night or two and are traveling with suitcases.

The room was quite spacious per Japan standards and the bathroom was exceptionally large and well equiped with a jacuzzi tub on top of the shower set up. The room also had a sauna and massage chair - very rare. The only downsides were the location in the Shinjuku district that was a bit out there - not unsafe, just more dirty and such. The room also did not have windows, which was a surprise.

Once you step out of the hotel your in the middle of Tokyo Night life… Being said that the Hotel room was very clean and many amenities in the room. Steam room and jacuzzi tub was awesome. Karaoke and sound system was great. Staff were very responsive. Just wish the bed was a little softer…

Even though it is a Love hotel, and the Lobby smells like a lit cigarette all the time, you won’t find a better room in Tokyo. That being said, price is a little high for what it is.

Amazing hotel, total luxury in all of its amenities. Perfect location in regards to restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes. The staff are so polite and the level of cleaning in the room on a daily basis is superb. The rooms so quiet as it’s just off the main road whilst only remaining a couple of minutes walk from the centre.

It was very comfortable for a Tokyo hotel. They had many accommodations for us and also a gift. It was very clean and they were as helpful as can be considering two different languages would definitely return.

The Hotel D-wave is one of Japanese’s “Love hotel” which if you Google isn’t anything sinister, and gave us no problems over the week. On the plus side, friendlyhotel and staff in the real hear of everything in Shinjuku y de

So let's get this out of the way: I didn't know this was a 'love hotel' when I booked it! If you don't know what that is, look it up... However, don't let that turn you off from staying here! The hotel and it's staff were excellent. The rooms are clean and well-kept, and they have plenty of amenities to keep you comfortable. It's very close to the bustling nightlife of Shinjuku/Kabukicho, making it easy to get back to after a long night out. The only thing missing for me was a closet in the room to throw your clothes/luggage in, but that's probably only an issue if you're staying for several nights. Other than that, we really enjoyed it.
