Lovely property in a more residential area, great to get away from some of the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff.

My wife and I absolutely loved this property. It's situated in a quiet little neighborhood around some little bars and cafes, yet is so close to the main drag so that you never feel too far from the action. The home was clean and had more than enough space for the two of us. Check-in was easy, and the people at the hostel even called us a taxi to bring us to the house. Would love to stay here again if we ever come back to Kyoto!

Our stay at K's Villa Takasegawa was absolutely fantastic! It's a small but perfectly designed and furnished two-story house in one of Kyoto's most beautiful neighbourhoods, over the little Takase River. The unit had all comforts for a family of three with a little kid (~3yo): spacious fully-furnished kitchen/living room, a toilet and a bathroom with shower and, upstairs, the bedroom (tatami mattresses) with adiacent living space and laundry area. Everything is just functional and stylish! To pick up the keys, we headed to K's House Backpackers Hostel, which is a 10 minutes stroll from Kyoto station. From there, reaching K's Villa is just another short walk but they called a taxi so my wife (who's pregnant) could relax. The neighbourhood is charming and laid back, perfect to start your visit of Kyoto whether you're heading to the busy Nishiki Market, to the historic Gion District and the Kyomizu-dera Temple, or catching a train to a farther destination. We will absolutely book this place again next time we are in Kyoto!
