Easy parking. An excellent host at hand at all time. Beautiful breakfast. Our room could have done with a good spring clean, although all accessable areas were clean' the curtains over the bed and pole above were dusty. Did not like the worn wooded shower or toilet seat, but base and toilet itself were clean. No TV in room but free wifi. No tea and coffee facilities in room but host very accommodating and would make a cuppa regardless of time.

We had a lovely few days stay at Parsons B&B. We loved the decor and style of our room & the house. it is so nice to stay somewhere with ‘soul’. Breakfast was superb, with local fresh tasty produce. David and Allison were both friendly and helpful and the trays of tea and coffee with fresh milk, were very much appreciated after returning from a long walk (and were available any time just by asking). You can even walk to Dovedale from the path opposite the B&B. We definitely recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.

This b&b is a gem: it is quirkily decorated and a delight to stay in. There is no kettle in your room but you are offered freshly made tea / coffee and have your choice of early morning drink delivered to your room half an hour before breakfast- a perfect start to the day. The breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked to order, with locally sourced produce. We look forward to returning…

This is a very unique b and b decorated with artistic flair and novelty. The breakfasts are amazing -especially the “breakfast trifle”-and David offers tea and coffee throughout the day together with helpful information about the area. Can thoroughly recommend.

We wondered what we had let ourselves in for on arrival. How surprised we were as our stay progressed. The breakfasts were supreme, the service with a smile by our host, David, wonderfully assisted by Allison. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasurable stay. A nice location for our days out and always a welcome home cuppa on our return. Lovely memories.

What can you say about parsons b&b only one word fantastic. David and his wife are the perfect hosts and nothing wasn’t any trouble. Every morning he would leave us a tray of tea and coffee with a jug of milk and no plastic small pots of milk in site. Rooms are beautiful decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant and all locally sourced and was superb, the parsons b&b is right in the heart of Hartington so you can park your car and have no need to drive it till you leave. This b&b is a beautiful hidden gem and we will 100% be staying there again. Thank you David for making our stay really special and we will see you soon. Oh and one more thing even the cat was welcoming and very friendly

We loved staying here! It was a lovely quirky place and we were very well looked after! We had lots of coffee and biscuits whenever we wanted them and two beautiful cooked breakfasts! The icing on the cake was Maud their lovely cat that we got to stroke a few times whilst we were there! We would definitely recommend people to stay here!

I stayed with my granddaughter whilst the rest of our family were camping at the YHA. We certainly got the best deal. Our room was warm and cosy. The breakfast was excellent, the best I have ever had in bed and breakfast accommodation. Thanks to our welcoming hosts.

It was a joy to stay at Parsons House - close to the village centre, the whole place is unusual and quirky; the owner, David, is kind and attentive, the bed one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in; the bath deep with a plentiful supply of hot water; fresh tea and coffee offered at every opportunity, and delivered to the bedroom door; and the breakfasts absolutely delicious - beautifully cooked and presented with local produce, breakfast trifle, and quince marmalade. I would highly recommend this B&B, and truly hope to go back one day. Many thanks, David :)
