The seafront is good for the price. Unfortunately there is no evening meals, have to go out or have a takeaway. Very good choice for breakfast. Very friendly staff.

The bathroom was very outdated and the tub dirty/discoloured. In the morning the water would be cold although in the evening it was warm.

Beautiful sea views (room with sea view must be specified). A lovely period property but rooms are presented in a clean modern manner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very relaxing stay.

Very budget indeed. Room was shabby, windows filthy. Bathroom ok. Wi-Fi ok. Free parking on street just around the corner. Right on the prom which was lovely. Staff were friendly enough but I was woken by a fire alarm early Monday morning and found everyone carrying on as if nothing had happened. God help them if there is ever a real fire!

Budget friendly hotel, no frills but good for an overnight stay. Clean room (except for the window) which had bird crap all over it as scaffolding was outside window. Clean bedding and towels. Freshly decorated and good standard of furniture. Mattress didn’t suit as it was soft pocket sprung and I prefer firm memory foam/hybrid mattress. Welcoming staff. Rear exit was covered in bird crap too - really could do with a canopy. Dog friendly. Hand soap and shower gel included.

Staff were lovely. Room not so much. There were stains on the carpet. The bins were not emptied during our stay. There were also maltesers left on the floor. Not great for when you have a dog staying in your room.Bathroom was very clean. Great location. Just let down by the fact there was chocolate left on the floor. Could have been a very expensive trip to the vets.

The outside was lovely the ground floor reception was very nice but the room we were given was seriously in need of attention, really poor quality I actually was ready to take photos of the major problems. But the beds over ruled it. They were the most comfortable beds and gave us a fantastic night's sleep. The actual dated decor and the cleanliness of the rest of our room really let the hotel down. It seems that this hotel has changed ownership and some parts have undergone a refurbished but where we were staying was most definitely not. Our room was not very good the furniture was old and damaged and very sad looking. But we were only there for two nights and made the best of our stay.

Check in efficient. Twin room had lovely double aspect views over the bay. Beds comfortable. Didn’t use ‘fancy’ unknown brand of capsule coffee machine.. capsule contents felt hard so probably been there a while. Tea/coffee making facilities adequate with large kettle. Everything clean. Wardrobe door had dropped so didn’t close properly. Extractor fan in internal en-suite was not working and could not be repaired during our 3 night stay. Opted not to have room cleaned during our stay. but clean towels requested not delivered. Breakfasts @£12 per person had been ‘stripped’ an hour before service ended and included basic items in any case. Bakery items stale. Hot items dried out and trays virtually empty. Parking sufficient in roads adjacent to hotel. Charge of £6 for 24 hrs in small hotel car park at rear, if booked in advance and available. Internet access good and free. Hotel is fine if all you need a large room and comfy beds in central area. However, 1 mile walk along promenade to most amenities.

The girl on the desk was very polite and helpful, as was the lady that looked after the bar area But they no longer serve food other than breakfast which was inconvenient as it’s a good 20 min walk to all the amenities, so you can’t just pop out for a drink or a meal. Very tired hotel in need of a lot of TLC, it could be made to feel as if you could just stay there for an evening if the weather took a turn or you just wanted to relax, but at the moment this isn’t the case which is a shame

Good things :) Location. Quilt, pillows and bedding. Radiator looked nice. Kettle looked nice & worked well. Had a hair dryer. Bad things :( Mattress so cheap and springy, might be new ish but such poor quality. Bathroom 1970s. Carpets very old and questionable. Public areas in poor condition. Very noisy lack of sound proofing. If opened window got kitchen cooking smells due to extraction being below window. TV didnt work. Hotel is ready for a major refurb.
