Fun hotel, questionable neighborhood 😅
The hotel itself is actually pretty nice. The staff were helpful and tried their best to fix a booking issue we had. The first room we got had a dusty carpet, but they changed it for us without any fuss, and the second room was clean and comfortable. So, points for the staff.
The rooms are cute and uniquely designed. Ours had a big New York skyline backdrop, and we also saw themed rooms like galaxy rooms and even a car bed. Very fun, very quirky. The vibe did remind us a little of a love hotel though, especially since they also offer hourly rates. For us, it was not a problem at all. We are adults and we did not bring kids, so it was more of a funny observation than an issue. Honestly, it could even be convenient for travelers who do not need a full overnight stay. The beds were clean, but the carpets really need to retire permanently.
Breakfast was good and affordable. Room prices can go up on weekends, but it depends on your personal budget and expectations.
Now the real plot twist is the surrounding area. The hotel is nice, but the neighborhood outside is very rough. The streets are quite dirty, there are some hobo around, and there is a generally run-down atmosphere. You will likely notice it as soon as you step outside. But we did find some very tasty and affordable food nearby, like Ha Noi Pho, so there are gems hidden among the chaos.
So overall, it is a good hotel in a not-so-great location. The hotel is doing its best. The area around it just needs some love and city maintenance. Just sharing this so you know what to expect before booking.
