The place is very strategic, staffs are very friendly and helpful—besides being communicative and informative. Clean space and not inhumanely tiny.

The most suitable hotel for shopping, halal food is also close, only 50 meters away… Right next to a Japanese clothing store, right behind a branded market and Nishiki Market…

Convenient location right in the center, easy to walk, eat and drink

The receptionist is Indonesian so it makes it very easy to check in. The room is spacious enough for 3 adults & 1 toddler aged 2 years. Can also help send luggage to the next hotel. The location is very strategic, close to Kuromon Market

It was a great stay in the city center and shopping center.

Location wise it's very strategic as it's very close to almost all attractions. Just a 10-minute walk to Honolu Ramen Premier Kyoto Gion, Gion Tatsumi Bridge, and Kyoto town which is near most of the shopping shops, e.g., Onitsuka Tiger, H&M, Uniqlo, GU. Oh, worry not, they also provide a luggage storage service (with no charges) just in case if you arrive early and want to explore other attractions before the check-in time without carrying the luggage load. Lastly, their receptionists are very fluent in English, hence don't worry if you are unable to speak Japanese, as they will assist you accordingly. I very recommend you guys to stay at this hotel.

Super love this hotel, the room was spacious and super comfy. Especially the location, it was surrounded by shops and restaurants, Nishiki Market just right at the back of the hotel (6 min walking distance). Will definitely stay at Travelodge again whenever I come back to Kyoto. Also, not forgetting to mention, my family and I were glad meeting the Indonesian receptionist. He was really helpful during check in and processed our luggage delivery to Osaka Airport.

Very convenient hotel as for location and also price vs comfort. Easy to get food nearby and also walking distance to Gion and several subway stations. We came from Tokyo to Kyoto using night bus, the bus station was Gion-Shijo, also walking distance from hotel, even with luggage. Ichiran, Candy Apple, and Gyukatsu Kyoto are just at the intersection nearby. The room was very clean and quiet for us, but they don't provide mineral water.

The hotel is situated in a highly desirable area with lots of eateries, shopping area, and convenience stores. Close to eateries and retail areas. Highly recommended for a fair price.
