About Karangasem

Karangasem is a regency located on the east of Bali. Although it is not as popular as destinations in South Bali, this regency offers many natural beauties. With its capital city in Amlapura, Karangasem has two ports, namely Padang Bai and Tanah Ampo. Furthermore, it is about 2 hours (79.1 km) by car from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Besakih Temple is one of the most popular destinations in Karangasem. As the largest temple in Bali, Besakih Temple has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site proposals since 1995. Taman Soekasada Ujung

This palace was set in 1909 and designed by a Dutch architect, Van Den Hentz and a Chinese architect, Loto Ang. Taman Soekasada Ujung combines European and Balinese architecture. Inside this palace, you can find three big ponds. One of which is located in the south, and the remaining two are placed in the north.


Padang Bunga Kasna

Located in Temukus, Desa Besakih, Kecamatan Rendang, Karangasem, it is a garden loaded with beautiful white flowers. The locals call these white flowers, Kasna. The Kasna flower is a wild plant but has a wonderful colour and shape.
