But, if you seek added comfort during your train journey, the Green Car is ideal. Identified by the green clover symbol, these cars boast spacious seating and ample legroom for your comfort. Reservations are mandatory and can be made at the JR ticket office after redeeming your JR Pass. While you can travel in both Green and Ordinary Cars with a Green Car pass, the Ordinary Car pass limits you to Ordinary Car travel only.

I can travel many cities in the Kyushu area comfortably. Viewing wonderful scenes during winter was a nice experience to visit Japan. We also had some delicious meals in many cities and it was wonderful. Nature and history are the most interesting in Kagoshima and the other Kyushu area, we really enjoyed this trip. I will recommend to my friends to have a JR Kyushu rail pass when they visit the Kyushu area.
